I’d say fluffies learn via memes (easily understood ideas repeated on and on), so telling them that brown is the colour of poop therefore all brown foals are poop would stick with them, and them calling other brown fluffies as poopies would stick in the heads of other fluffies that didn’t see/hear the original message but could see the connection, thus the idea propagates.
