Rabbit mom-to-bes use their own fur from under their bellies to make their nests as comfortable as possible.

  • 10/10 cute foals
  • 10/10 miserable mummah
  • 10/10 use of obscured text to add to the sense of the desperation of their situation
  • To say nothing of mummah’s expression

Overall 10/10 it’s clear that mummah has a lot of regrets and probably knows that she and her babbehs are soon fluffie-nu-mowe

It’s true. Source: have rabbits.

My does sometimes had fake pregnancies, which is a common thing with unneuteured rabbits. They experience hormonal changes and start their nesting behaviour, which includes collecting soft materials like hay and pulling out loose fur. It doesn’t hurt them though: the fur becomes loose due to the aforementioned hormonal changes. You often see their male partners helping them with the build, like collecting hay and straw themselves (but sometimes they’re just standing there, with their mouths full of stuff and don’t know where to put it).

fake pregnancies and all that. i never couldve guessed. well i guess there are a lot of things i dont know about rabbits (i sorta figured they were just big vegetarian rats with giant ears and buck teeth). although i would like to try them deep fried or fricasseed southern style

Would be wholesome if not for the mothers fluff in the nest.

Sad and adorable. It’s a hard life, but she’s still doing her best to make her babies at least as comfortable as she can.

That raises the question: do fluffies shed their fluff once in a while like cats, dogs and rabbits?
