Fluffy Family QnA [FlufferBuffer]

So I decided to redesign some old fluffies that I had just laying around, along with actually giving them some lore and just generally reworking them to be better.

I suppose I should introduce these guys to you all now, so I’ll just give you their little info boxes real quick.

Mister Spyglass (formerly just Spyglass) is a neutered male earthie, and a former “poopie babbeh.” He is blind in one eye and has a torn ear due to this, though he was rescued early on by a compassionate “mummeh.” Now that he’s grown, his main job is to foster neglected/abused fluffy foals. Unlike most fluffies, he doesn’t discriminate against other fluffies (a mix of his good training and his previous neglect). When he’s not taking care of the foals in his care, he’s probably playing with puzzles. He’s quite intelligent for a fluffy (though not a smarty) and quite curious. [He is the brown fluffy]

Glitter (name unchanged) is an adolescent male unicorn. He was originally bred for fluffy shows, and as such, obsesses over his looks. He’s groomed himself into balding, in some cases, and Mister Spyglass typically has to distract him through playing with his adoptive siblings. “Mummeh” is looking into getting therapy for Glitter. When Glitter is not obsessing over his looks, he enjoys “painting” (stepping into paint and walking on a canvas) and “sculpting” (messing around with playdoh) [He is the gold fluffy]

Scamp (name unchanged) is a former “munstah bebbeh,” being both an alicorn and lacking external genitalia. They actually came from a feral herd, and their back legs and eyes were both wounded to the point of infection, and as such needed to be removed. “Mummeh” is unsure if the others in the herd did this to them, or if they’d been left behind for a predator to get to them. They are barely weaned, and the same age as Vintage. They’re an overall nuisance despite their upbringing, but they love cuddles when they’re sleepy. [They are the salmon colored fluffy]

Vintage (formerly Lucky) is a female baby pegasus. She was found on “mummeh”s doorstep one day, and no one really knows where she came from, though that fluffy lab a couple blocks down shutting down probably doesn’t have anything to do with it. She’s very clingy to both “mummeh” and Mister Spyglass, as she’s never known any other caregiver. Her voice is underdeveloped, so she still chirps despite being weaned. When she’s not with her caregivers, she does tend to shut down, not knowing what to do. [She is the black fluffy]

So uh. Yeah. Ask these guys anything. Otherwise I’m not gonna have any ideas for what to do.

I like Scamp. Looks like a shrimp.

Please give Vintage a cape, she reminds me of Blackjack.

Question for the author: how old are you, because we’re a 13+ website and I’ve never seen you around before

I’m 20

Alright but I’m watching you

Hell yeah :+1:

Friendly reminder to please put your name in the title of what you post so it’s searchable. Thx.

Ohh ok lemme do that rq

Cool.

So, what’s the story behind them? Is it like a shelter situation, or just a person doing the whole foster and adopt thing out of the goodness of their heart?

Cute designs all around.

They’re doing foster and adopt! There are actually a lot more fluffies in the house, it’s just these are the failed fosters.

How does Glitter reconcile needing to look good with his hobbies being so… messy? Playdoh and paint will both leave terrible stains on his hooves and fur, no? If he’s finally feeling good enough with his looks to stop grooming a moment, why ruin them with such things, and how did he figure out he liked them at all?

“Mummeh” and Mister Spyglass have both been working hard with helping him with his obsession. One of the ways they’ve done that is by convincing him he can mess his own looks up if he can make other things look good (and, of course, a warm bath after he’s done helps too ;3)

(I also want to mention that the grooming isn’t entirely a looks thing, it’s an anxiety thing too.)
