Fluffy's Spooky Tales in the Dark: Bed by the Window (Barrel2s1coool)

Note: This is based on the story Bed by the Window from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. So, I feel like this wouldn’t be scary at all.

Three old fluffies shared a room at the Fluffy Nursing Home. Red, who had been there the longest, had the bed next to the window. When Red died, the fluffy in the next bed, Bonnie took his place: and the third fluffy, Cloves took Bonnie’s bed.

Despite his advanced age and illness, Bonnie was a cheerful fluffy who spent his days describing the sights he could see from his bed- pretty girls in summer dresses and clothes walking down the sidewalk, a police officer riding on horseback, a traffic jam, a pizza parlor, a fire station and other scenes of life outside. Most nurses and volunteers (who are teenagers in the school-job program) would sometimes join in, talking about what they saw.

Though Cloves enjoyed the stories at first, but the more Bonnie talked about about life outside, the more Cloves wanted to see it for himself. He wanted to look out that window so badly that one day he decided to kill Bonnie. “Bonnie am goin’ go foweba sweepies soon, anyway." He told himself, “What diffewence wouwd it make?”

Bonnie had a bad heart. If he had an attack during the night and a nurse working the night shift could not get to him right away to save his life, he had some chewy medications, since fluffy’s teeth are soft, he could take. Bonnie’s nurse kept them in a bottle on top of the cabinet between his bed and Cloves’.

All Cloves had to do is knock the bottle down to the floor where neither Bonnie nor the nurse could find it.

A few nights later, Bonnie died suddenly; just as Cloves had planned he would. And the next morning Cloves was moved to the bed by the window. Now he would see for himself all the things outside that Bonnie had described. After the nurses had left, Cloves turned to the window and looked out. But all he could see was a blank brick wall.

Cloves immediately got enraged and suddenly, he died.

A volunteer worker walked in the room, gasped loudly upon seeing Cloves’ dead body.

Since she was told what to do in case of a dead fluffy, so she placed Cloves’ body on a gurney, placed a towel over the body and wheeled the body to the morgue where an examiner was done with another dead fluffy.

“What happened?” The examiner, an older man named Alvin Irving asked. The volunteer answered, “Well, Cloves suddenly died after what happened to Bonnie.”

“Well.” Alvin spoke as he examined Cloves’ corpse, “Cloves had an enlarged blood vessel in his brain. It probably bursted during his tantrum. Well, Life is a pain.”

“That’s not a scawy stowy.” One of the foster foals pointed out.

Andrea sighed. She knew most of the stories from the book are terrifying for a fluffy so she picked the least scary one so they wouldn’t be traumatized.

“Uhh… Hey, Nightmare? Can you tell them a scary story?”

Nightmare peeked her little head out. The young alicorn fluffy looked at her adopted Bwothews an’ sissy.

“Den dewe am nu sketties weft in dah fwidge.” Nightmare said, and that got a good reactions. The young foals screeched and peeped in fear. Thankfully, that didn’t had an accident since Andrea had their bowels voided beforehand so she wouldn’t clean up any messes during the night. Nightmare look proud of herself while the foster fluffy momma named Maia calmly calmed the foals down.

I read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark obsessively when I was a kid!

Yea. I wanted to test it out if it works for Fluffies
