Flytrap (BloodandRoses)

Finally had a second for some personal art and doodled myself a kelpie mare, based on the subspecies by @FluffyChimera I’ll clean up and color these soon.

This is Flytrap, the laziest gatdamn predator ever, and no one is sure how she’s survived this long. She heavily relies on her plants to get most of her nutrition, including but not limited to insects, frogs, worms, snails/slugs, and curious Fluffy babbehs that wander a little too close. Occasionally, she will also hunt fish.

Because of her constant ‘eating’, Flytrap is chubbier than most kelpies, which does slow her down but gives her an advantage in the winter.

In the warmer seasons, Flytrap will frequently sleep ass-up to let her scent drift out and tempt any nearby stallions to mount her. (It’s too much work to seek them out.)

If the stallions are careful, they get some quick hit-n-run enfies and go on their merry way.
If they wake her up, they die. They usually die.

I have upcoming story plans for her in the same world as Coco, Nimbus, and Timothy.

Venus flytrap fluffy indeed! ( boy it would be a shame if her fluffy snatch had vagina dentata to keep a hold on those rascally stallions long enough for her to awaken to dinner delivery… )

Fun fact, all the venus flytraps in the world originally came from the swampy areas in and around Wilmington, North Carolina in about a 100 mile radius. Those swamps happened to have very low nutrient soil so the resident plants had to get creative in order to survive. Venus flytraps actually tend to die if they are planted in what would be considered normal potting soil.

She doesn’t, but I like how you like. :eyes: Mostly she uses the element of surprise and kicks them in the legs or whacks them sideways with her tail, then whips around and bites.

And that’s neat plant info!

Good L-rd. It’s me as a fluffy. I feel seen!

Gotta say, I love the symbiosis.

Right? It’s part of the subspecies’ whole design, where the kelpie-babbehs have their chosen flower/plant merged with their manes (with magical mom snot) and that’s where they get their names.

And yes, Flytrap is the epitome of “work smarter, not harder”.

She likes to jam out with her clam out, I see

If jamming involves completely zonking out, then yes. xD

This is hilarious and genuinely so cute, even though she’s a stinky little lazybones with her cooch out. I love her little cheeks and tiny fangs

I got a Venus flytrap in October and named it Rose, since then it has trapped a wasp, I am very proud of my plant child

Rose is a very good child indeed to protect you from asshole wasps.
