Furless fluffies?

There is no god but the Duck!

Well the fluffy fandom is overly wary of change and want to keep a certain level of standard within the community so it make sense that new ideas like subspecies get nipped in the bud before they can bloom. It’s interesting how sea/bowl fluffy subspecies manage to not died off yet beyond their introduction in the past.

BTW I see @Carniviousduck showcased some lovely example.

I made a little doodle I might post later, along with some others. I will see about making buffet type drawing when I get the time, I will have to look into some recipes though for some examples on what to draw

Yeah and if you’d been around as long as most of us you’d see why. Hellgremlins, Redditheimers, etc.
Gatekeeping is a fucking necessity at a certain point.

Yeah because they’re still recognizable as fluffies and don’t really take away from their core tenets

How about a fluffy pony that’s not a pony :face_with_peeking_eye:

Doesn’t mean people have bred hairless rabbits or featherless chickens. Sure, it sounds practical, but you’d run into a whole host of new problems that aren’t really worth the effort. Easier to just skin them, and you also get a sellable byproduct in the form of their fur.

I think a naturally hairless fluffy would be hilarious from an abuse standard because it would cry about never growing fluff and get bullied for not being pretty.

Constantly cold and shivering while the owner ignore’s its cries for warmth in the form of like a little sweater because then it wouldnt showcase it’s “regal pedigree” of a designer fluffy breed.

A few posts on the topic would be funny but it would get old quick and I dont see a lot that can be done conceptually with them.

Or in intances where they live in hot climates… a bit like a genetically altered featherless chicken made for hot climates …which is a real thing btw

That’s definitely true! Perhaps a better option would be a fluffy whose fluff is easy to pull off? I think that concept has been done before but like in a toy form

I do not think that is something I want to see lol

I can see a hairless fluffy working within the context of one in a litter being born without fluff, which causes it a tremendous amount of stress and suffering because it doesn’t have an ‘identity’ without ‘pretty fluff’ like its siblings. But not as an entire subspecies.

Though I do recall seeing a Carpdime post with upset hairless foals.

I want to see that, just because they’d be hideous.

Look up skinny guinnea pigs, bald rabbits or featherless broilers. They’re very much a real thing.

fluffies as food is always a good trope :ahahaha:
