Turns out fluffies don’t make great bait. Took him until sunset to get a catch and it’s some abomination.
I would think that it’s probably edible but probably not good since it’ll eat trash.

Catfish are delicious.
I like them fried, though fish tend to taste better when you are the one who caught them, so I am probably biased.

In one story I used talking foals, it was for big game fishing, but I guess for smaller prey it is better to use chirpies, fishing always generates a good conversation.

Forgot to post and say how much I love this one.
Fluffies as bait is such a fun idea.
I would have put the hook through the upper snout/jaw though. There are lots of animals that like to just eat the tongue and lower jaw, so you’d lose your hook.

Catfish taste fine. I’ve noticed they’ve got this sorta…weird ‘extra’ taste to 'em that other fish don’t have. Like you can tell catfish apart from like salmon…at least I can.
I’ve heard some people call it a ‘muddy’ taste but I don’t actually know what that’s supposed to mean. Just that like, there’s a strong flavor in the catfish.
