Never been a particularly big fan of this particular canon for the reasons you’ve stated, but they do allow for extra types of abuse (see: DUST TITS) so I don’t mind when they show up.

It was also intended that all fluffies being sold or being shipped to Fluffmart from Hasbio breeding facilities would always be sterilized as foals so they would not have working reproductive parts and never bring it up (Mares in particular would have less explosive growth of their udders and they would be smaller). That all changed after they got out (Whatever canon floats your boat) and the breeding pairs became the default fluffy. Mostly because owners were lazy/cheap and wouldn’t get their fluffy fixed when they were a foal.
