I had to read up on it and look it up, because I didn’t know either. What I noticed most is that they celebrate the last days of December with candles, and each candle represents a virtue.

That’s totally okay! I think the art style is adorable and see the clear influence. The lore is kind of dense. Nothing wrong with being a beginner. It took me a minute to get the hang of fluffspeak too.
Art-wise I more meant that users of this board might be more used to more dynamic/expressive fluffies due to the prevalence of dramatic abuse lol. Also frankly looser/less clean art styles. Your lines are very clean and your art is very polished—that part is definitely a compliment.

Their strange kind of english is really just baby-talk, like how you’d talk to a baby.
Instead of saying “Sorry”, you say “Sowwy”.
“Please” = “Pwease”
“Ball” = “Baww”
Then there’s the specific Fluffy talk where they say shit like “Nummies” when referring to food, “Sketties” when referring to spaghetti, stuff like that. Someone in reddit actually made a pretty good guide on how they work, but an important thing is that you can have your own headcanons, like fluffies going from “dummeh” to actually swearing, and a staple that can happen to fluffies after too much sadness or trauma is enter a loop where instead of referring to death as “forever sleepies”, they actually just start saying “wan die”.
I’d say you could just do the average story with the easiest concepts in fluffy abuse, like alleyway fluffies, smarties, bad mummahs, etc. If you wanna go for hugbox, you can do pretty much whatever you want.

Ooh, imagine the box of festive foal candles. All 45 of them: full of, “Chaggie Sam-eek!” and, “Dweidew, dweidew, dweidew… nu ‘membah da west.” Each night, you select the right number of fresh foals, set them in their little menorah nesties, and light them up.
I mean, if you force them to grow like living blocks, and spin them by the head…
I’m picturing the fluffies spinning at dangerous speeds. Each time one comes around, it has to speak through its sobs: “A! MIWACUW! HAPPEN! HEWE! HUUUUUUUU…!”
