Happy Purim! (by DummehBabbeh)

Purim Sameach, everyone! My favourite holiday starts in about an hour. These happy fluffs are dressed as Mordecai and Queen Esther.

On Purim, we celebrate yet another genocide attempt that failed, this one in the fourth century BCE. If you want to learn the story, you can read the Book of Esther, or (my choice) the graphic novel Megilat Esther, by Rabbi J. T. Waldman. We feast, we wear costumes (like these two fluffies), we play games, dance, drink our balls off, and celebrate being alive.

If y’all’d like, have a drink with us this evening. I’ll be gorging myself on piña coladas!

Happy Purim!

Update: I managed a piña colada and a half. Those things are filling. Finished off with a shot of plain Bacardi Gold. Now I’m sleepy.

I admit it. My parents raised a lightweight.

I’ll have some more for lunch.
