adding onto this, keep your pets safe in your house if you have any!! several dogs in my neighborhood have jumped fences and ran away because they were outside and got scared by the noise

And if you’ve got any veterans in the family, keep an eye on them too. Fireworks sound a lot like gunfire, it could be a trigger.
I mean, they’ve probably got that taken care of themselves, but they’ll probably appreciate you making an effort to accommodate them.
