Heart of Ice Ch.9 [By Biorb_McBiorb] {End}

As the Teal Soon-Mummah watched Ice come down from his Mummah’s Nestie, she waited for him to tell her that things were okay now, that she would be safe. “Ice am back pwetty soon-mummah!” The compliment felt like the nicest bath the mare had ever taken, the feeling of love washed over here as she watched the handsome colt make his way down to her. “Am… Meanie Fwuffies gon’?” She asked.

“Yus dey am gone nao… If… If pwetty soon-mummah wan’… Can stay wiff Ice an’ Mummah Hawwey” Nice, handsome, AND he took care of his family? a full package! “Yus! Soon-mummah wouwd wike dat bewy much!” As she said the reassuring answer. Ice lowered his head. “Weww… Den ice needs to teww 'ou about Mummah Hawwey…” And with that, Ice relayed the story of how he met Harley, how he began to love her, and how she protected him, everything.

“Buh… Fwuffy nu supposed to num fwuffies! Onwy munstas du dat!” Ice knew she was right, but that insult ‘Munsta’ made him angry. “Soon-mummah am nu munsta wite? Jus’ Pointy-Wingie Fwend. Mummah Hawwey am stwange, Ice knows dat. Buh Mummah Hawwey am Ice’s mummah, an’ she pwotects Ice, she pwotects babbehs! Su she am gud Mummah, su pwease nu caww hew Munsta.”

With that the mother looked down in shame, she sounded like a great mother, one who loves her babbeh, but… numming other fluffies was… Well it was what Munstas do. “Otay Ice… If Ice say Hawwey am gud fwuffy, den… Hawwey am gud fwuffy.”

“Du… Du pwetty Soon-Mummah habe namsie?” Ice asked shyly. “Nu, Soon-Mummah nu habe namesie…” She replied, slightly embarrassed.

“Weww… Soon-Mummah am pwetty, and wook wike cwouds… Why nut be Cwoud?” The mare, looking at this handsome Stallion, the Fluffy who saved her babbehs from starving, from being alone with a horrible fluffy family, had just named her. “S-… Cwoud… Cwoud wub nyu namsies!” If Ice could see thru Cloud’s Fluff, he’d see her blushing.

“Cwoud… Wan’ tu meet Mummah? Meet Ice’s Babbehs? Meet… Mummah’s Babbehs?” Ice asked. “Yus… Cwoud wouwd wike dat bewy much.”

Ice led the mare up the path to the nest, upon reaching the entrence of the home, Cloud and Ice saw Harley partaking in the Stallion. hearing the sound, Harley looks over at the new mare, blood still covering her face. “Oh! ‘Ou mus’ be da Soon-Mummah! Am Hawwey! SU happies tu meet ‘ou! Ice say many gud tings abou’ 'ou!” Cloud, still a little shocked at the ammount of blood on Harley’s face, responds as nicely as she can. “N-Nice t-t-t-t-tu m-me-meet 'ou Mun-Mummah Hawwey!”

Harley realizing she was covered in boo-boo juice giggled. “Oh! Hehehehe! Sowwy! Hawwey aww diwty! nu-smeww pwetty, gon’ gu and cwean up!” Harley began to walk away from Cloud, still wanting to converse with the mare, she talked as she rubbed her face in the unconscious Flower. “Su! Soon-Mummah hab namesie?”

“Am… An Cwoud.”

Harley coming back to the main part of the nest, looks her up and down.

“Dat am gud namesie.”

About a week had gone by since Flower and Cloud had been taken in. And as Ice stood with his back against the nest, he watched as his Special Friend, Cloud, gave birth. Harley right behind her, helping her thru the process. “It am otay Cwoud, Babbehs am comin nao!”

Seeing the process again made Ice feel… weird, mostly because the babbehs weren’t his, they were Coals. Coal being the now dead, carcass of the Stallion Harley had nummed down to the bones. Cardinal, now a Talkie Babbeh, and the Dark Yellow Earthie, now named Acorn, stood in silence with there father, watching the majesty of birth. noting how horrible it looked.

haff haff Why babbehs huwt mummah? haff haff Am gud Mummah!” Cloud cried out. the first foal came, passing thru its mother… No chirps… “B-babbeh?” The Baby was quiet, and as Harley held the foal, she looked back at Cloud, and shook her head. “huu-huu Am bad Mummah huu-huu SCREEEEEEEE” which was the case for every foal that came out of her. Seven in total, all still born. Harley set the foals in front of Cloud. “Am su sowwy Cwoud…”

That night, Cloud cried and sobbed, begging for her babies to return. Ice, tried his best to calm her down. But there was little he could do. It wasn’t until Acorn had came from the Babbeh Pile part of the nest into Ice and Clouds that she stopped. “M-Miss Cwoud? Acwon… Acwon know dat ‘ou am huwtin’ wite nao, peep! buh jus’ wanted to say… Miss Cwoud can be Acown’s Mummah… if… If ‘ou wan’.” The gesture brought Cloud to tears again, ushering the babbeh over to her. Cloud picked up Acorn and held him high.

“C-Cwoud would wike dat… Wouwd wike dat bewy much!” As she cried, Ice nuzzled his Special Friend, feeling lije the third Fluffy on a date, Ice left and went to visit his mother. “Mummah? 'Ou nu sweepies yet?” Ice asked, while walking ] into the room. “Hmm? Oh, nu not yet… Thinkin bout things befowe Hawwey go to sweepies…” She was sitting in the darkness of the nest, only illuminated by a small whole in the roof. “Wan’ tawkies bout it?” Ice moved over closely to Harley, sitting down next to her.

sigh Hawwey jus’ wemembewin’ how Mummah Hawwey met Ice… Makes mummah sad is aww.” As she spoke Ice remembered how Harley had killed his sister, his best friend, how she had eaten them. It made him sad, and so he nuzzled into Harley. “Ice know dat Mummah du bad tings when Ice was widdwe babbeh… But Ice know dat was tu make sum babbehs wive… Hawdah to waise fwee babbehs, den one.” Harley did feel sadness for the grief that she inflicted on Ice. She really did love him.

Harley was designed to be a killer, a Fluffy who infiltrated and killed and ate. But Harley was raised better, to be better. Harley’s Mummah was a normal Alicorn fluffy. She adopted into the family and raised to be loving and kind. Harley did love the rush of killing bad fluffies, but… Gud fluffies and babbehs always left a weight in her heart. She was designed to cull the outbreak of Ferals, and insetad of culling the feral population… She was cultivating it.

“When Hawwey’s Babbehs am big an’ stwong, aww gwown up… Gon’ take babbehs an’ weabe… fink dat gud idea…” Harley said, half asleep. “Otay… Nee’ to wait fo’ aww babbehs to gwow up fiwst wite? Any idea on whewe famiwy shouwd go?” Ice said, a little confused at the idea of leaving his home.

“Nu Ice… Mummah takin Mummah’s Babbehs… Nu take Ice wiff…” The answer sent a chill down Ice’s spine. “W-… Wha’? W-why? Did Ice du wong ting?” Did he mess up? Did he ruin the nest in some way? Did… Did Harley hate him now? “Nu… Buh… when Babbehs gwow up, dey maybeh twy and num Ice’s Babbehs… Nu wan dat tu happen, su Hawwey weave… Take babbehs… Ice stay, keep nestie, Keep fammiwy safe…”

“One day Ice gon’ be big an’ stwong, may become Smawty fow Hewd. Nowmaw fwuffies nu wike Hawwey anyways, pwobabwy fo’ dah best-” As Harley tried to convince her son that her leaving was for the best, he got up and bopped Harley on the nose. “Nu. If Ice gon’ hab hewd, den hewd gon’ hab to wub Mummah Hawwey. Dey nu wub? Dey nu pawt of hewd.”

In all honesty Ice didn’t want a herd, he wanted his family, and the idea that his mother wanted to leave made him feel horrible. Nothing was going to take the last of his family away from him. “Ice know dat Mummah’s babbehs nu gon’ num odda babbehs, dey bwuddas and sissy nao. Dey famiwy, jus’ nee’ tu show dem what Fwuffies tu num, an’ what fwuffies not tu num.”

Harley looked up at her son, the son she had rescued, the son she had killed for, the one she created hardships for… She had never felt so proud before. “Ice… Ice am Bestes’ Babbeh Hawwey couwd ebah habe. Hawwey wuv 'ou.”

“Ice wuv mummah too. Nao get tu sweepies Dummeh Mummah! Need west tu gu get nummies in da Bwite-time… Gud Dawk-Time Mummah!” Ice said, leaving Harley’s side of the nest. “Gud Dawk-time Ice. Sweep weww!”

“Ice am su smawt… Su pwoud of Ice… Gon’ have tu teach babbehs tu nu num 'Ice’s Babbehs… Dat am gud pwan… Gud… Pwan…” As she recited the memo to herself, Harley dozed off into sleep.

As Ice woke from the family Fluffpile, he heard Birdie-Fwends chirping. Cloud had woken up soon after. Ice had made his way out of there part of the nest to see that Harley was already awake and teaching her babbehs how to sneak. “-Den babbehs nee’ tu keep wow, an’ nu make soun- oh! Hewwo Ice! Hewwo Cwoud!” a chorus of peeps and chirps came from Harley’s Babbehs as they turned and saw you.

“Gud Bwite-Time Mummah!” Ice greeted his mother with a hug, then turned and waved to his Special Friend and Acorn, the rest of his foals slept in a big pile with his mothers babbehs. As he turned and walked out of the nest with his mother, he looked around and took a deep breath. The forest in the morning was beautiful. Light just barley passing thru the canopy of leaves and branches. Birdie-Fwends chirping and singing there songs. Today was a good day, Ice could feel it.

Behind Ice was Harley, They had became a duo while Cloud and the very beaten Flower took care of your babbehs, they never had to worry about Flower getting out of hand as she was in the ‘Wan Die’ Loop.

Before Ice and Harley began there hunt for nummies, Harley had sneezed, making a funny noise, causing the two fluffies to begin chuckling to each other.

From Behind him Ice heard a familiar voice peep out. Ice turned and saw Cardinal. She was waving.

“B-bye bye Daddeh! Cawdi-naw wub 'ou! Peep! Peep!” You waved back to her and set off with your Mummah Harley.

A weird sense of deja-vu washed over Ice… Why did he feel like he had done this before…

and why was he remembering a name… ‘Nowff’?

Eh, if it wasn’t important enough to remember, it must not be that important.

Thats an interesting ending , basically Harley was “created” or “trained” to wipe out feral population.

Its kinda an interesting family they got, hope Cloud and bear a good and better brood than her first litter.

Maybe someday a short story bout their life.

Imagine an entire herd of cannibal fluffies like Harley.

They would cull the worst of neighboring herds of normal fluffies, like pulling weeds in a garden. The cannibals would watch from the shadows and just eat smarties, bitch mares, bullies and bratty bestest babbehs. Such a herd would quickly grow into legends among the regular herds, inspiring fluffy parents to teach their offspring to be good because bad fluffies will get eaten.

Such stories would be like fluffy fairy tales.
