Maybe his hip broke because he has a chronic calcium deficiency and his owner didn’t bother giving him the pills the doctor recommended because the doctor tried to charge $800 per month for special fluffy-specific medicine and the owner is a cheapo but the joke is on him because the doctor wasn’t actually a doctor (it was Josef Mongola, who is not and never will be a doctor) and fluffies don’t need special calcium pills
Maybe this says something about deep and meaningful the human condition

Well if you follow the tags it tells a story maybe:
Accident, accidental abuse implies that something the owner did (or didn’t do) led to this occurrence
Neglect could point toward further failure for the owner to care for it
Sadness. Over the broken bones or something entirely different? Or maybe a combination of both
Most important of all is the shelter tag. I’m guessing the intent is to be a fluffy shelter. AKA the fluffy got dumped off there or something. So you string everything together and what I get is: The owner allowed the fluffy to get into a situation, possibly out of neglect, which resulted in broken bones. It was then possibly dumped off at the shelter because they couldn’t do anything to help it. Then the sadness could come from both the injury itself and the abandonment
Who knows. I’m sure the creator does.
That’s what I assumed.
Fluffy has an accident —> owner doesn’t really care enough to do much for it because fluffies are replaceable —> injury gets worse due to neglect, becomes hard to treat —> owner eventually gets rid of fluffy because medical bills too expensive —> fluffy dropped off at shelter —> shelter puts fluffy in traction to fix broken hip —> fluffy is sad because nu can wun ow pway an daddeh/mummah gu bai bai.
And the mare tag is there because it’s a mare.

I remember reading the lore on this one, but the details are escaping me. Overfed and accidentally sat on by an obese owner? Something like that.
What that abomination needs is a hemicorporectomy. It works with humans so it’ll be interesting to see a half a fluffy.
