I wonder what other substances you could do this air straw trick with. Imagine dunking a foal in boiling water but it doesn’t drown…

Or submerge it in Nair. You could also force it to grow in a vacuum chamber, no stimulus besides food and breathing (and pooping, of course) and see what happens to the foal.
