A picture demonstrating the use of a hugtoy by a foal. I sometimes like to imagine that this pic serves as a possible conclusion to some of Carpdime’s older stories, such as The Last Baby, Pink Pet Foal, Cowd Wawa Woom and Munstahs are real.

The hugtoy was a device I’ve used to convey loneliness and a sense of abandonment. When I think about it, taking small foals away from their mothers whilst they still crave the maternal touch and the companionship of siblings is one of the key themes in sadbox.
