I’m feeling stressed about being a part of the fluffy community

I’m having stressful thoughts about being in this community, I feel like I shouldn’t because of what others outside the community might think, like if you draw fluffy abuse, you might be an animal abuser, those kinds of accusations, I don’t plan on drawing abuse and I love animals, but maybe I’m just overthinking it, there are good and bad sides to every fandom right? I’d just like some advice

Honestly you are overthinking it.
Fluffies are no different then horror movies ( gory horror or torture porn)
or HTF.
As long as you can discern the different between real and fantasy then you will be fine.

After all everything these days is used as a scapegoat to decry “something”

Thank you so much, I have a tendency to overthink stuff once I get a thought stuck in my head, this makes me feel so much better

You’re welcome.
Fluffies no matter the box are supposed to be fun.

True, I’m just gonna stick to character and adoption drawings till I get better, probably will stick with hug box though lol

That’s honestly what makes fluffies fun.
Their versitality.
They can be whatever you want them to be from extreme abuse to teeth decaying hugbox, and everything in between.

I’m honestly glad that this community is filled with such nice people

Well despite appearances of what we concern our selves with here we aren’t latent serial killers.
I swing hard between hugbox and abuse with almost nothing in between.

You just do whatever you like to do with your fluffies and let nobody tell you otherwise.

I feel the same way to an extent, I’m afraid most people who see this community will scroll through it for 5 seconds, and decide anyone involved in it is automatically a secret animal abuser and completely vilify them. But of course that’s not the case at all, there’s lots of people here making a diverse array of content, and people need to understand that not everyone is here to be a total sadist

Exactly

If you have concerns like that, my advice is this:
Just don’t use your regular name.

Squeakyfriend isn’t my name anywhere but here, and I don’t post any of my fluffy content anywhere else. Like you, I’m worried about being seen as a cruel person for being on here despite rarely drawing anything dark, so I just keep it a separate, secret interest only those I can trust to understand get to know about. Doing this lets me be an active member without feeling stressed or like I’m in danger.

Of course, I’m fully aware it might just be paranoia on my end, but it’s a way to assuage any worries that can’t be soothed by words alone.

Honestly, I do the same, and I think we all should do that.
We might be initiated in to fluffies and know that its not all that bad.
But outside the community we are a bunch of weirdo’s

…Well weirder then most.

I used to be a lot more worried about it than I am now. This place feels much safer than the Booru ever did, especially since many artists offer commissions (and thus would need a more personal knowledge of you to be paid, ie your Paypal account). I wouldn’t want, say, my grandma to find out I use this site, but if my siblings found out I wouldn’t care too much.
I don’t really struggle morally with this site. To me it’s the same as talking about creepypastas or horror movies, it’s all just sci-fi and pretend. I wouldn’t brag about being on this site or anything, especially professionally, but I truly don’t think it’s a reflection of “me” and my opinion towards animals.

You’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.

It’s no different than any other kind of fictional violence and as long as you can tell the difference between that and real world violence you’re fine.

I’ve been around for a long time
I saw a lot of ppl drawing/writting along this time, and I can tell ya that
a lot of ppl use fluffies to help them with their traumas, their stories, maybe something to feel better, to put their rage or pain or other feelings into.
At first sight, ppl would pretty much say this is all about animal abuse, but as time passed I realized all these things I said above.
Also, the community used to be terrible in the past, nowadays we’re living the bestest days ever :3

Btw, as other ppl said here: if you do know how to separate these from real life or real animal abuse ( that everyone around here is against, including me) it’s fine
^^

Sorry if I’m late to the party. Tbh, I thought this was a gore community. I still do! I think these are some of the most vile people I’ve ever had the misfortune of laying my eyes on. I think thats just something you have to accept being here (shrug). Sorry to be so negative but I dunno if fluffys have ever been a very nice place lol

I think it’s important to remember this site does have filter options. You can block out content that you simply don’t want to see or makes you uncomfortable. This is a varied community, and not all of it is for everyone. But there’s a lot to like within the specific boxes.

And while you may not want to draw gore, abuse, or suffering, do use this community as a means to expand your creativity. Thanks to this group I got back in to creative writing, and learned digital art in about a week thanks to advice and feedback.

Again, if what you want from this community is adorable little moron horses being happy and loved and having babies, then that’s great! Take in that content, and be happy.

And if you don’t know how to filter, here you go:

I hope that was just shitposting on your end.

It’s funny too because a lot of the abuse dudes with few exceptions are like some of the nicest fucking people on this site at least from what I’ve seen
