I thought fluffies were supposed to be dumb and love you (Alice_621)

She’s been screaming non-stop since she was dropped off for me to feed her, but she’s refusing anything that I give her (which isn’t a lot, since college makes you broke)

And now she’s resorting to hitting me with her hooves whenever I stop paying attention to her. I put her in a padded box so far to keep her out of the way while I clean up, but now she’s crying like someone is torturing her. I’m so lost. What do I do?

I think my brother got her from the trash or something because she’s absolutely not pet-material

Wait till she’s starving, then she’ll eat anything

And I do mean starving, if she complains about ‘tummy-hurties’, offer her the regular food first. If she still refuses, she’s not hungry enough

That’s the plan right now. Because I’m not going out and spending my birthday money just to get this thing to shut up for a few hours until it’s hungry again. I could be feeding her trash, but I gave her a fruit salad that she immediately threw to the floor

I think I might have to take her to the vet or something. This isn’t normal behavior for a fluffy

Since shes apparently coming from the street, let her re-live the time in the street.

Maybe somewhere near a herd.

That will teach her something

My college has a few ferals out there that dig through the trash. I might put her out there in her box for the night just so I can get some sleep

Will that help with her whining and loud mouth?

No m, but there will be no more sorry hoofies

I think what she needs is a “sorry stick”. Just smack her a few times with a ruler or something until she stops being a brat. It might seem harsh, but it’ll save you a lot of trouble down the line. Don’t worry, they’re not really alive anyway

I tried. She screamed louder and called me stupid, then pooped. Do I just keep going or…?

Yeah, keep going. She’s still in the ‘Anger’ phase. Let her get down to ‘Bargaining’ and ‘Depression’ before letting up. That’s where you can really get her to listen and think.

Show her a video of what happens to bad fluffies who don’t behave

Just ignore her; she’s doing all this for attention. My advice is, no matter what she does or says, tune it out. Eventually, she’ll wear herself out and stop

All you need is some duct tape.

It sounds like you should throw her away and get a new one.

When it comes to discipline I’ve had good luck using a length of PEX tubing, it’s whippy enough to frighten and hurt but not heavy duty enough to break bones usually unless you really start laying into her with the full power swings. Consistency is the key here. She cries, she gets a PEXing. She shits on the floor, she gets a PEXing. She refuses to eat, you guessed it she gets a PEXing.

Welp, I’ve tried nothing and I’m out of ideas

Have you tried taking a hair clip and using it to shut her mouth

I think I accidentally knocked her out? Despite me not even hitting her hard? That, or she was so scared of the stick that she passed out. Hopefully she wakes up better behaved

I tried, but I’m afraid of noise complaints because she’s so loud. It’s why she’s in the padded box right now

Y’know, I’ll bet some of those ferals used to belong to students. Maybe you can swap her for one that has a better attitude?
