I tried to make a Fluffy plush but it looks awful :c

This is the result and looks like a MLP Pony :sob::sob::sob:
Any tips to make the next one look better?

Shorter, stubbier legs and rounder body and face maybe? It’s a cute start though

Glue loose cotton to its body as if it was a sheep, and I bet this one would look pretty fluffy-like.

For a next one, I think you can just get rid of the neck area. Directly from body to head. That and slightly shorter legs, and voila:

Ayo, very good first try! You need to make him pudgier though, like if he ate exclusively at MacGoldenArches for the past month

Definitely looks more like an MLP pony to me but it looks good nonetheless. Like people already said: shorter, fatter, stubbier, maybe use some cloth with more like actual fluff on it like a fluffy blanket if you can. Also maybe cut the eyes out of like white felt or something instead of drawing them on?

I’d say give it a fatter build and face with rounder eyes.

That’s cool! Please make more and don’t get discouraged - it looks like a horse, not a crocodile, so you’re already succeeding.

What I wanted to said, it has been already said. Fatter, shorter legs and almost to no neck. But for first try? Really great work! Genuinely A+ stuff right here!

I think making the head and body separate pieces and stitching them directly together would probably help the neck length.

I feel like the body shape of fluffies would really lend them to amigurumi crochet so maybe looking at the pieces for a basic amigurumi as a reference for what kind of shapes to use to build a plush? Like crochet doesn’t really transfer 1 to 1 with sewing, but because it’s usually using a couple of basic shapes to build a creature, it’ll be possible to simplify further into a flat sewing pattern.

I have no idea if that makes any sense but now I kind of want to see if I could crochet a fluffy.

Anything you complete isn’t awful. You are building skills to eventually make it easier to realize your vision. It is common to get frustrated at this stage, but you can persevere.
