Inverted Bowl Fluffy, Product Testing - Chapter 6 - Lothmar

The obnoxious voice rings out as the smarty comes out from amidst the bush with a slightly scatter of leaves. Pausing only for a moment to pull free of a twig stuck in their leg fluff. The smarty was a Zinc yellow body with a ivory colored mane and tail. “Dis am Smawty wand. Weab dah Mawes and dummeh’s can weave.” They paused and suddenly looked irritated when they realized an even bigger fluffy had joined the group when they themselves were barely three quarters the size of lucky the smaller of your two new friends.

“Shaddup’ Sunny.” Lucky added grumpily.

“Dis why nobody wan pway wif ou’ Sunny.” Tangerine added shaking her head in disappointment.

“Shuddup, Sunny show ou’. Sunny gib big dummeh huwties tiww dey cwy.” They added gesturing towards Flatbed with their hoof while talking to the two. He’d already been either ignored or beaten by both of them but he had something to prove.

“Dat not a good idea sunny.” Tangerine added with a groan as they were already moving to square up with a confused looking Flatbed.

“Hewwo wittwe cowt, am Fwatbed and dis am~?” As flatbed turned their head to motion to Nugget Sunny had stood up on their back legs and brought their front legs into the side of Flatbeds cheeks. Flatbed let out a surprised ‘phhrbt’ sound. “Shouwd weawwy ask if wan wough house.” Flatbed added out the other side of their mouth before tossing their head to the side as Sunny rolled over and tumbled back to their feet.

“Hmph!” Sunny snorted. “Dat dummeh, no one ask in weaw fight.” They add quickly stepping forward and turning around.

“Be cawefuw speciaw fwiend.” Nugget adds with concern as Sunny bucks into the padded chest vest Flatbed was wearing.

“Nu wowwy, fwatbed just gonna discipwine dah Baby.” He adds lifting his hoof and stepping slowly onto Sunnies back pinning them to the ground.

“Nuuu~ wet sunny go! REeeeeeeeeeeee~” They began to scream and flail and squeal. Flatbed just sighed and let the smarty tire themselves out.

“Ou’ a bad fwuffy. Ou’ gun stay dere and think about what ou’ dun?”

“Uhm, yes?” Sunny added lying in a very unconvincing manner.

“Gud.” Flatbed smile and lifted their foot to change their position to sit down nearby and watch Sunny during their time out. “He wying~” But before nugget could finish Sunny was already up again and facing off.

Sunny paused and their ears flicked and they huffed before giving a raspberry. “Sunny beat ou’ next time and enf ‘ou mawes.” As they said this they jumped back away from Flatbed stamping his hoof he was attempting to pin him to the ground with more serious force. The look he gave this time was a mildly annoyed parental look on his face of having to parent someone elses kid. Sunny retreated through the berry bush and disappeared.

“Thank’ou fow sabe wosey.” Rosey added moving alongside Flatbed and rubbing against his cheek with hers.

“Heh, eben wosey couwd probabwy pin dat widdwe cowt.” Flatbed added jokingly and Lucky laughed.

“Sunny owder den me.” Lucky added as if to clarify their age. “Just puny wunty stawwion.”

This confused Flatbed a little. Most of the runts he’d met were very nice and appreciative. He’d never met one that was so angry and combative before. Granted he had mostly dealt with foals and young fluffies his own age group during testing.

“Ebweybody got dere own circum-stances.” Tangerine added in a sagely tone. “Dun hesitate to gib sowwy hoofies Doh. Usuawwy tweat bettah after know dey cant win.”

“Did you have fun Sunny?” A man in various shades of dark clothing added before putting out a cigarette in an ash tray atop a garbage can.

“Couwd been bettah…” The man could tell from his disposition he hadn’t gotten the special huggies he’d been after. This meant he’d be dealing with the associated annoyances.

“Sunny tink found decent fwuffy to be toughie fow pawk days doh. Den dose dummeh’s wisten to Sunny.“ They added grumbling at the end. The man smiled a bit since their fluffy seemed legitimately excited about a proper challenger. Sure he still lost fights to a majority of fluffies but the scrappy midget tended to feel more accomplished when they lost against an actual opponent.

“Im sure you’ll have time to think of a plan to deal with them next time.” The man adds picking up his pet. “Lets swing by the alleys on the way back. Im sure we can pick up something for both of us to play with.”

“Ou’ dah best daddy. Sunny ebah teww you dat?”

“As much as I tell you you’re may ray of sunshine.” The man adds tossing his fluffies mane as Sunny windmills its stumpy arms attempting to fight with their owner.

“Daddeh, Daddeh!” Jim had just started to come out of his nap when he felt Flatbed begin to bounce off of his leg repeatedly with their front hooves while standing on their back legs.

“What’s up bud?” Jim added licking his lips as his mind was starting to grow conscious to sensations.

“Eep, no mean to make dad maddies.” Nugget added retracting into the shell.

“Mad?” He added bringing his hand to his face and feeling the sunburn starting to set in. “This weeks gonna suck. Hope you two are ready to go home.”

The two nodded to their sunburnt owner as they proceeded to follow him back to the vehicle.

“Rosey?” A woman in a sundress added checking her phone nervously.

“Com’in mummah.” Rosey added cresting the grass and rushing over to their owner.

“Did you have fun today?”

“Uh huh. Meet fwiend fwom when widdwe fiwwie. Can we bwing Siss’tant next time?”

“Do you think it’ll help her mood?”

“Wosey tink so?” She added unsure but it was the best idea she had.

“Lets see how she feels when you tell her about your day then and go from there.”

“O’tay!” With that the pair left.

None of these people knew how close they had come to seeing one another in the parking lot. But as humans, sometimes we overlook things even as big as the rest of society that tends to blend in to the background as we focus on the scenario most important to us at hand.

Sunny actually seems to have something like virtue: shame about his owner.
