Behold, Watermelon’s youngest brother, Keylime!
Their breeder allowed their mother to keep one of the foals from her last litter, so he stayed with mummah.
He lived for a remarkable 5 years, which is the longest life recorded for SBS fluffies.
Most Forever Foals die before their 2nd birthday due to the plethora of medical issues they can face.
Keylime has had eye problems for most of his life due to mild head trauma he received as 5 week old foal, he eventually developed cataracts and steadily lost his hearing, his bones are remarkably strong for a fluffy.
Between SBS medical issues, his weight, and his age, he lives the last 3 years of his life with breathing issues that just get worse as he ages. He passes away in his owners arms after 5 years, 3 months, and 2 days of affection, patience, and wasted money.
He started sprouting mane and tail fur when he 2 months old. It stayed thin and wispy for the rest of his life, but it was extraordinarily soft.
He was neutered when he was 3 months old when his owner/breeder heard a rumor about some SBS fluffies being able to reproduce (this isn’t possible for my SBS, but rumors are rumors and as a fluffy breeder it’s better to be cautious then skeptical)
Yes, those are Lavender Scented Fluffy-Safe Forever Foal grade diapers. Yes, they cost $70 for a 30 pack. The owner is loaded from decades of high-quality fluffy breeding (and the oil money from grandma)
