Ch 1 from the perspective of a fluffy
You had a rough childhood to put it lightly. Not your mummah’s favorite but not quite so low to be a poopie baby you were still last in line for milkies. You were the first of your siblings to open your see places but that just made mummah angry for showing up her favorites. You had a poopie brother that you tried to be nice to when you could, but mummah would snap at you whenever she caught you.
Things changed when a meow monster found your nest. Mummah fought ferociously, even stepping into to protect your poopie brother when the monster tried to snatch him. She held a broken piece of see through wall in her mouth and jammed it into the monster, scaring it away. Her mouth was bleeding, her body was torn up in so many ways. Boo boo juice was everywhere, but you and your siblings were safe. You remember her crawling back to your siblings with the last of her strength. She smiled fondly at all of you, even poopie. You remember her last words, “Babbehs be goodeh fwuffies foh mummah… Mummah wubs aww babbehs, ams sowwy foh wea…” and then the light left her eyes.
She wasn’t the best mother, but in hindsight you suppose she tried her hardest. Food was scarce and she had the unenviable task of trying to keep some of you alive… You’ve tried to live up to her last words as best you can, being as good a fluffy as possible. It was hard though, Mummah’s favorites slowly starved to death. You nearly did too but you were the only one who poopie brother convinced you to eat poopies with him. It was the worst. Eventually you even ran out of poopies. You had to turn to eating your siblings and even mummah. You cried a lot back then.
You and your brother had grown up into walkie talkie babies and left your family behind you, leaving the only world you’ve ever known. A human saw the two of you waddling out from behind the trash that made up your entire world.
“Nyu daddeh? Pwease hewp fwuffies, needs huggies and wub…” you remember saying to the human. It reached down to grab you. Poopie brother slammed into you and was picked up instead. He was slowly torn to pieces as he cried for you to run. You ran as far as your little legs could take you. You didn’t deserve the love of your poopie brother and now he was gone. You tripped and fell into a gutter, your fall broken by the corpse of another fluffy. Somehow, you kept surviving because others had died in your place.
You lived in the sewers for a good while, eating trash that got swept down to you. You nearly drowned a few times but you had mapped out your home well. Occasionally you’d meet another fluffy in passing, but you made a point to live alone. Nobody close to you could die if you didn’t let anyone get close. Your heart hurt, but you lived on. Mummah and poopie brother died for you, you couldn’t give up.
You were a full grown fluffy, your fluff tattered and matted. You did the best you could to keep up your appearance but it was a pointless effort. You got spotted one day by humans who had bright balls on their heads. They grabbed you by your neck and put you in a sack. You cried a lot.
You wound up in a shelter. Your fluff was shaved off by the nice mummah who worked there. You hated her at first, humans were bad news and she stole your fluff! But she showed you how disgusting it had gotten and you understood. Still, nobody wanted a fluffless fluffy.
You watched as other fluffies got adopted by new mummahs and daddehs. Your fluffy grew in slowly. It was cold and you were bullied by some of the other fluffies. A poopie brown stallion stood up for you. You loved him just like you loved your poopie brother. He kept defending you until the day his heroics were seen by a human stallion. He was adopted on the spot. You were happy for him, he was the first friend you made that didn’t leave you because of death. Still, you were alone again.
Your tormentors had either been adopted out or gone forever sleepies for this or that reason. Your fluff had grown back. Life wasn’t great, but it was good enough. The nice mummah who took you in took you aside.
“Sweetie, we got a request from a very nice mummah down south. She needs fluffies for a special project and you’re the toughest little critter I know. So congrats! You’ve been adopted.”
The joy you felt that day was something you don’t think you’d ever forget. The shelter mummah even gave you skettis to celebrate. Then you were strapped into a crate and into a metal monster. You hated the sounds but not much scared you anymore.
What did scare you was the big sorry box. So many other fluffies were crying and screaming as your crate was loaded in. You’ve never seen so many fluffies in one place before, not even at the shelter. The smell was horrible and made you gag. You asked the nice mister to let you out but all he said was, “Shut up, 26.” You had a name. 26. It didn’t feel very pretty but for most of your life you weren’t either. You felt grateful towards the mystery human, even if he was mean.
Then the sorry box was closed and all of you were encased in darkness. Not much scared you, but this had you uneasy. The screams and cries of the other fluffies didn’t help.
You felt the sensation of being lifted up. Cries of bad uppies and sorries echoed through the big sorry box. You were glad shelter mummah made you use the litter box before leaving, otherwise you’d have had made bad poopies. Bad poopies would be a betrayal of mummah and poopie brother. The thought horrified you.
The sorry box tilted and swayed. You felt yourself dragged from one direction to the next. If you weren’t strapped in you would have splatted yourself against your carrier. You heard whispers of wan die from the other end of the box. Those fluffies would have been in here for much longer than you, you couldn’t even guess how many forevers that was.
Your time in the big sorry box turned into a blur after that, your mind could only take so much before numbing itself to the outside world. Your eyes glazed over as you disassociated from your body. A sudden jerk and a harsh drop snapped you out of it.
The sorry box stopped moving. There was an eerie quiet, nobody wanted to make a noise. The sound of the box opening made you gasp. The light shown in and you saw the biggest mummah you had ever seen. She was like nothing you had ever seen, the light framing around her like some sort of… you didn’t even have the words.
She came up to you without a word and undid the straps on your crate after freeing another fluffy. You were taken out into the light.
The fluffy ahead of you made the mummah angry by staying inside the carrier. You took note and resolved to step out even if you were a little scared. The mummah opened your carrier and undid your straps.
“Nyu mummah! Ams tweentee six!” you say to her excitedly. You had a name and you were giddy to use it. You nuzzle up against the mummah’s leg and coo’d.
“26, 25. This is Sunshine. She is your smarty, and you will do what she says.” You look at the fluffy that mummah pointed out. She was the biggest mare you’ve ever seen, it was like looking up at mummah back when you were a chirpy. It made sense to you though, the biggest mummah would have the biggest fluffy. You wondered if you would get that big.
“Yus mummah!” You trotted over to your smarty. She looked at you with disdain. She reminded you even more of mummah now. You smiled at her and she huffed in response. She picked up the bad fluffy, 25, and beckoned you to follow. You struggled to keep up, she was so big! You followed her into a weird house that looked like it was made of blankies. Bizarre.
“Otay dummies. Dis is da deaw. Sunshine gonna make uwes pwetties. Uwe makes it hawd foh Sunshine? Uwe get hurties.” She dropped the bad fluffy onto the ground. “Sunshine hopes uwe makes it hawd.”
You tilted your head. You couldn’t understand her logic, she would hurt you if you were bad but she wanted you to be bad? The gears in your head were grinding.
“Scree! Wawa ams b-b-bad!” 25 screeched out, “Suh cowds! Cowdest baddest wawa! Hewp!”
He was being pummeled by a stream of water from a hose attached to your smarty. So much gunk was being blasted off of him. You thought he was a poopie but it turned out that he was a nice shade of red. Sunshine turned off the hose and tossed the bad fluffy aside.
“Uwe. Hewe.” Sunshine said. You trotted over and braced yourself. You would be brave and oh sky daddy this is the worst thing ever. You were colder than you’ve ever been before. Your tiny body was being pummeled by water, the pressure hitting you like so many sorry hoofs. You would have screamed but you’re almost certain you would have drowned.
“Dones. Yogi, come gets fwuffies.”
You were shivering and soaking wet, but you weren’t being blasted so that was something. A giant brown fluffie walked into the weird room and greeted you.
“Hewwo nyu fwens, ams Smokey. Pwease fowwow.” Sunshine might have reminded you of your not so great mother, but smokey. Wow. He reminded you of poopie brother. Smokey picked up the cowering 25 and beckoned you onward. She followed along, shivering the along the way.
“We ams wait foh few moments. Briwght baww wiww wawms.”
He was right, being out in the sun felt great. Just like poopie brother, he was smart and clever. You missed him a lot. You sniffled sadly, “Miss bruddah…”
A giant face snuck up from the right, “Fwen, uwe haff had enouf wawas foh dis bwight times, nuh sad wawas.”
You smiled at him.
He took you into an even bigger weird house. There were so many nests and an even bigger fluffy! This one was almost as big as the biggest mummah. If the others were just like your old family, this one must be just like your stallion friend. You giggled and greeted him.
“Ams Tweentee Seex!” you said proudly. You had a name and you were gonna use it!
The giant smiled softly at you, like a daddeh watching a special babby do a little dance. You felt embarrassed.
“Ams Smokey.” The giant said with a rumbly deep voice, “Dis ams nyu housie foh aww widdew fwuffs. Wet Smokey hewp uwe find nestie.”
The giant showed you to your very own nest. There was padding, a blankie, and even a stuffie friend! “Waow! Tankies mistuh Smokies!”
“Fank wangaw Shannon, she gibs aww da widdle fwuffs a stuffie. Hew own monies tuh.”
You had no idea what monies were but you from the way smokey said it, she had to give something up of hers for the stuffy. You hugged it tightly.
“Uwe wait hewe. Mow fwuffs ta get settwed.”
The bad fluffy, 25, had his nestie right next to yours. You tried your best to put on a nice face but honestly, you kind of hated the guy. He was a bad fluffy.
“Wai dis happens tu fwuffy? Fwuffy diden du nuffin… huuu.”
“Dummeh. Ur namesies ams Tweenty Foive, nuh fwuffy.” you say indigantly.
“Nuh! Nuh ams numbah! Ams fwuffy!”
“Uwe ams Tweenty Foive!” You stand up, practically screaming at the stallion. How dare he refuse the name biggest mummah gave him! “Uwe ams wowstest fwuffy!”
“Huuu, nuuu! Ams goodeh fwuffy!”
The two of you argued until Smokey came back with another pair of fluffs. You had someone else to talk to now.
You chatted and compared stuffies until all the nesties were full. The biggest mummah came in and told everyone to follow her. You carefully placed your stuffy friend in your nest and covered it with your blankie. “Be backs fweind, nu saddies”.
You were led out into the middle of all the weird houses. Mummah told you about the rules and what she expected from you. Place for good poopies, don’t be bad, listen to the big fluffies and mummah. Then mummah brought out a leafie. She said she hated the leafie and wants you to nom it to forever sleepies. In terms of taste, leafie foods were in the middle of your rankings. Not as bad as trash nummies, but nowhere near human food or skettis.
Speaking of skettis, mummah said you were going to have some! You cheered along with the other fluffies, a stuffy friend and skettis in one day? Incredible. You couldn’t believe it.
Mummah talked about the collar you were all wearing. It let her see where you were? You had no idea how, it didn’t have any see places. Mummah said it would protect you too but also give worstest hurties? But only hurties if you ran away. You wouldn’t run away, so it should be fine? Did it know what you were thinking? Very confusing.
Mummah said you had 3 months to eat all of the greenies or everyone would go forever sleepies. You have no idea how long 3 months are. Is that a lot of forevers? You felt uneasy. You did not want to go forever sleepies, you had to live for mummah and poopie brother.
Your worries melted away as mummah said the magic word again. Skettis! All you had to do was stay put and you’d get the most delicious nummies. Easy!
You chatted with the fluffs near you, they were nice enough. Many of them were confused and you didn’t blame them. Biggest mummah had many words and you barely made sense of them yourself and you were a pretty smart fluffy! Everyone was excited for skettis though, any worries that came up were always quelled by the promise of pasta.
Time passed. It felt like at least 2 forevers, maybe 3. Some of the fluffies were getting restless. A pretty floaty thing flied by, it had so many colors! You just barely stopped yourself from chasing after it to play when another fluffy stepped out of line to do the same.
Mummah’s giant mare pounced and pinned the poor fluffy to the ground. “Screeeeee!” it said helplessly as the weight of the biggest mare pushed down on it. “Hewp Fwuffy! Onwy wan pway wid pwetty wingy!”
“Dummeh. Uwe baddeh fwuffy, gets hurties.” The mare said with an evil grin. It kept pressing down on the little fluff, hurting it as much as she could without breaking anything.
“Huuu…. Fwuffy sowwy! Pwease!”
It continued for a while. You had to turn away, it was hard to watch. It was almost you there. Yet again another fluffy got hurt to save yourself. Nobody else stepped out of line and you could tell mummah’s mare was disappointed.
Mummah appeared again and brought your line of fluffs into the nestie house. It was like something out of a storybook. Skettis in front of every nest.
“Nyu mummah ams bestest!”
“Wub sketti mummah!”
“Mostest skettis evah??! Ams dis skettiwand??”
So many little voices babbling in amazement. You were too stunned to speak.
“Go on, there’s one at each of your nests.” the biggest most bestest mummah said. “You may eat when you get there. Smokey and Yogi will keep an eye on you. I might check in later, have good sleepies.” She smiled and left the nestie house.
You ran to your nest, nearly tripping over your own hooves. You were about to dig in but stopped yourself. “Stuffy fwiend? Duh yuwe wan skettis?”
Stuffy friend didn’t answer so they must be ok. You gave your stuffy a hug and slammed your face into the bowl of skettis. It was soooo good. You munched slurped and licked the bowl clean. Your tummy full of pasta, you waddled back to your nest and pulled your blankie over your stuffy and yourself. You fell asleep fast, the long day and a belly full of skettis made you so very tired.
I was going to do a chapter from the perspective of sunshine but she’s so fucked up and weird that it was kind of gross.
