Ok hear me out.
Do you think in-universe there are different kinds of fluffies ( not the earthy, pegasus,…) depending on the country?
For example: slight tendency to certain colours (the country’s flag), changes in the programming so that they don’t do x things y government doesn’t like, different accents…
in my headcanon, there are only English-speaking fluffies, but they can be brainwashed in specialized centers into country-specific fluffies. Things like language (because why have a fluffy with a german accent when you can make it speak german?), traditions, politics - they got it all. unfortunatly, it’s not inherited, so you have to do that pricey procedure with every foal
or don’t if you want your foals cosplay as lost tourists
I said accents because in my hc there are fluffies in multiple languages and meant it like getting an English fluffy and turning it into a Scottish fluffy for example, but in hindsight I should have said it.
A guiri fluffy is one of the funniest concepts I’ve ever seen tho

I think different colours might be more popular, depending on the country, but they’d probably still occur at around the same rate. Because there’s no guarantee that if you breed specific colours, the foals will also be that colour.
I also imagine that they can only speak English, and can’t learn other languages, except for maybe a few words. As for accents, maybe they’d sound slightly different or use some different terms depending on their owners accents. But I think you still wouldn’t necessarily hear where they live because they all have the same fluff-speak “accent”.
I made a post about fluffies being made in Australia.
“Unlike normal Fluffies, their Australian counterparts have thicker skin and have resistance towards poison, so that they can survive the harshness of Australia.”
Ok it’s really funny but that’s more like evolution instead of localization
I think this makes total sense from a profits/marketing standpoint. At the very least, it makes sense to me that fluffies have been engineered to speak languages other than English.
Not necessarily by Hasbio even. It only takes one German/Chinese/etc. laboratory reverse engineering the gene sequence and boom: multilingual fluffies.
@StoneRouge
I’ve always had a humorous head cannon that Australia is the only place on earth that fluffies didn’t become an invasive species, but it sounds like even they aren’t safe anymore

I remember, there was a picture on the old booru about Fluffies were copied by other countries - namely China. Basically, it was an even lamer version of the fluffies, but instead of Spagetti it loved buttered-toast.
So, as far as I know, there are two headcanon:
- After the Hasbio fluffy incidenc this kind of genetic researches were generally restricted and supervised.
- No one cares: other countries and companies created every kind of abomination just like with any other product.
I think Puffygriffins can speak german.
Speaking of which: I discovered the Australian Marsupial Microfluff a while back…
Too bad it’s extinct.
