from around foal age i guess mabye 2 week or 5 days after being born
I didn’t specify cuz. I didn’t know if I wanted to change it or not.
I just don’t want to get something wrong, i would want to stay updated, and there’s not like a lore guide that found it’s just people bouncing ideas off each other
If you’re making a story exclusively centered around a chirpy, it’s pretty hard. They don’t do a damn thing and basically your entire point will be making the audience experience it’s limited knowledge and the thrill (or horror) of brand new experiences it cannot explain.
At five days old most people would have them as chirpies without their eyes even being open. It’s a lot harder to do than it sounds but Going Home (Ace) here’s one I did focused solely on a chirpy. It may help you understand the process better
Fluffy foals are even stupider than adult fluffies. Their hierarchy of needs is more limited, and they generally focus only on one idea at a time, whereas adult fluffies may be able to consider three or four aspects.
Example: fluffies are hungry.
Adult fluffies may consider:
Their own hunger
The hunger of their offspring
Whether or not the food is good or bad
Whether the surroundings may be a trap
Fluffy foals will consider:
That they are hungry
Foals will seek out Love (attention, comfort) whether or not it is real or fake, and Food, before they consider things like Safety or Shelter. They have no concept of fending for themselves, they cannot conceive of why an adult Fluffy or Human would not immediately appear to tend to their needs when they cry. When crying fails (in the event that their caretaker is expired or removed), they will wander in any direction with light and pleasant noise to seek out Love and Food. A young fluffy foal may last only hours with these two things missing from their life. An older foal may last a few days.
