Maybe at times when folks have to leave their anxious fluffies on their own for periods of time, giving them something to hold onto that belongs to the owner might help a bit. Example: a jacket, blanket, hat, or pillow. It’s another thing that the fluffy can have to hug on to, plus, it’d smell a bit like the owner.

As someone with severe chronic anxiety, including separation anxiety, this comic hurts a lot. There is a difference between exposure therapy and torture.

You can’t just adopt him and then lock him away! You have to build up a sense of hope within him first so that it hurts even more when it’s crushed!
