Neither of these two had an easy life before finding each other. Fortunately they did, and the many benefits were mutual. Trauma can bring people (and pets) together. Friendship is great foundation for healing. Even if it is with a tiny talking chimaera.

The old lady in the old couple that found Shark Week is Max’s teacher, who has been noticing signs of abuse and neglect among some of the younger kids in her school. They will eventually take matters on their own hands and foster him for a couple of years, before he finds his forever home.
But how they manage to open up to each other, how they surpass trauma concerning a certain beach, how Max gets out of his shell and starts speaking again and how Shark Week gets his nonsensical Discovery Channel name are another thing altogether.
