If you read Chapter 5, she actually comes from a broken home. I didn’t leave specific details, but she could have come from a family wrecked by divorce, or may have been illegitimate and raised by a single mother. Either way, I think having a sister would have thrown a wrench in that characterization.
I’m hoping to go into a bit more about her past in Chapter 8
