Beret was adopted by a soldier when he was just a young colt, and he look up to his owner who always patrol the new town he and other retired soldiers built and received refugees and survivors from the “forgotten war”.
But one day raiders came and Beret’s owner and his patrol team manage to push them back but not without casualties, Beret’s owner is one who managed to kill the raider’s leader before dying.
After the funeral Beret shown strong and proud of what his owner did to protect the town he built and love, but the owner wife would wonder why Beret would disappear time to time until she found him in her late husband’s old study room ( door got a dog door for Beret ).
There Beret sits inside his owner’s old helmet crying quietly missing him deeply.
