Money Maker [by Wretched_God_Killer]

A brunette girl walked out of a fluffy shop counting a fat wad of money, grinning like a madman. Cielo had always heard of fluffies, after all, only someone who lived under a rock wouldn’t. she’d never had one, even if she’d always liked them, but watching that girl with so much money from just a fluffy made her reconsider her options.

She was low on money and a little behind on rent, so she’d need more money than her 9-to-5 gave her, plus, the mostly renovated basement in her apartment was technically big enough to house a few cute little fluffies and their foals. The money was a huge plus, too.

She walked into the shop and asked the pink-haired cashier how much the price for a foal was.

“25 dollars,” she said. “20 for the ugly ones.”

No way in Hell she was spending that much on a shitrat. Maybe a cheaper place?

Cielo tied her medium length half red-dyed black hair into a ponytail so she could actually see the fluffies, even though her bangs almost covered her eyes already. She started jogging across the street since she knew there was another shop about 6 blocks away, when—

“cowd… su cowd…” a cute, high-pitched voice muttered from an alleyway a few feet away.

She. BOLTED.

There, in the alley, the thing her brown eyes landed on was a small pregnant pegasus fluffy with a cute red or purple coat and a light colored mane, she couldn’t tell, sitting in a cardboard box.

An absolute GIFT.

“Hi sweetie~” Cielo greeted, walking towards her, “do you want to come with me and get a nice, warm home?”

“Ou… ou wiw be Nyu Mummah?” The fluffy asked, “Yes! Fwuffy wiw WUB a wawm housie!” It squealed excitedly, standing up slowly and trying to jump up and down.

“Okay, okay, calm down, i’ll pick you up and then take you home.” Cielo told her before grabbing her around the body and pulling her to her chest. “Can’ wait fow nyu housie, can’ wait fow nyu housie!” The mare happily repeated.

Cielo brought the mare home, then to the bathroom where she dropped the mare in the bathtub and grabbed the showerhead, “i’m going to put some water on you, but just a little bit, nothing bad will happen to you or your babies, okay?” the mare looked uncertain, “pwomise?” She squeaked quietly, “come on, i already told you.” Cielo told her, “otay…”

She washed the fluffy and dried her off with a soft towel before she finally saw the pretty fluffy’s colors in full.

She was a very cute pink fluffy with a wavy yellow mane and shiny lime eyes which just ensured goodlooking foals. She was super soft and— well, fluffy, but a little fluffier than a normal one, so her foals most likely would be too, and her mane was silky smooth.

“Okay, you’re very pretty, i guess i shoukd give you a fitting name, huh?” The mare gasped, “New naymsie!? Fwuffy wan’ nyu naymsie!” She squeaked.

Cielo brought a tan hand to her chin to think, and a lightbulb basically popped up, “how about Pink Lemonade?”

“Yes, yes! Pink Wemonade wubs hew nyu naymsie!” The fluffy squealed on the counter.

Cielo thought for a moment, “Okay, i’m going to take you somehwere, and i need you to stay there while i make you a saferoom, okay?” The mare nodded vigorously.

Cielo grabbed her and dropped her in the shower after putting a few towels on the floor to soften it, and she closed the shower door.

Her basement was already painted white and had some carpet on the floor, but other than a single L-shaped blue couch, it was empty. Cielo dragged a large dog bed from when she had a German Shepard 4 years ago out of her closet and set it down in a corner, it would be good enough for a bed, then she got a white plastic box as well as a ramp with some sand to be a litter box for Pink Lemonade, and she got some dog bowls that she filled with water, one by the side of the room and one by her bed so she could drink easier, and an empty one by the other on the side of the room as a food bowl.

Cielo had a few balls and chew toys from Mars, her German Shepard, so she threw them around the room and got a smallish black plastic box to be a toy bin for her. Finally, she got a table she never used in the living room and put it against a wall, put some pillows inside, and a blanket over it so she’d have a place to hide or be alone if she wanted.

She felt the room was done and returned to Pink Lemonade, finding her pressed against the wall singing “Mummah wub tummeh babbehs, tummeh babbehs wub mummah, mummah gib wots ob miwkies to bestest babbehs!” The repetitive song was a little annoying, but the mare stopped when she saw Cielo again. “New Mummah! Is da ‘safe woom’ weady?” Pink Lemonade squeaked happily, Cielo picked her up and pressed her against her chest, “Yes, Pink Lemonade, it’s ready.” The mare squeaked in excitement, okay, maybe the name was a bit of a mouthful after all, she’d have to give shorter names in the future.

Cielo walked to her safe room and set her down near the dog bed as the mare squealed with excitement, “PINK WEMONADE WUBS NEW WOOM!!!” She screeched in happiness. “Wow, look at her go.” Cielo muttered as the fluffy did her best to run around to see everything quickly.

“Are you potty trained?” the fluffy nodded, “smawty mummah towd Pink Wemonade to go poopsies in pwace away fwom owd boxie housie, Pink Wemonade wiw do WEAWWY good to go poopsies in new pwace away fwom new wawm bed!” The pink mare explained after nuzzling into her actually pretty old (dog)bed. “Good.”

Oh, shit, she’d need to get some kibble for them.

Over the next few days, Cielo very thoroughly taught Pink Lemonade that Alicorn babies were not monters and that brown foals were not poopie babbehs but instead that they were still babies deserving of love, especially the alicorn babies.

A few weeks later, Pink Lemonade started to go into labour around 10am and after 1 hour that felt like 10, she gave birth to 5 foals that immediately started suckling her milk as she sang her annoying song.

There was a lime green unicorn colt with a teal mane and tail, a teal earth filly with a bright pink mane and tail, a salmon colored pegasus colt with a fuchsia mane and tail, a light blue pegasus filly with a grey mane and tail, and a yellow alicorn colt with an indigo mane and tail.

Upon finding out her babies were to be sold in a few months, Pink Lemonade did not like the sound of it. “Buh, buh babbehs am aww dat Pink Wemonade hab weft! Pwease mummah, nu take babbehs ‘way!” She cried, holding the teal foal and the blue foal close to her.

“But, pink lemonade, your babies will be in happy warm homes, just like yours, if not better ones! And every time we sell your babies, i can get you sketties! You can have more babies, but we have to sell them each time.” Pink lemonade gasped, “seww, seww babbehs fow sketties! Nao, nao!”

Cielo chuckled, “they’re still too young, but once they’re old enough to eat solid food like kibble and sketties, then we can sell them for sketties! Okay? And since these are your first babies, i’ll let you keep one. Okay?” She explained, Pink lemonade sighed, but nodded, looking down at her babies.

I’m interested to see where this goes. That was one hell of a 180 she did on giving up her babies!

Small piece of constructive criticism; some of your sentences are very long!
