Or don’t separated them until they’re weaned and can eat solid food. I imagine separating the foals too early will have a negative effect on their mental health.

Yeah, punishing her for being sad at the thing they knew was bad but did anyways. “Hey the vet said this was bad to do” and then act surprised and upset when it happen.

Bad breeders too, since the foals are likely so young that that’ll take a load of work for the adopters.

Punishing a mummah for concern for her children is probably the dumbest move possible from like, any angle.
