Just putting out some notes for the headcanon used in “Wittew Wion Fwuff” and the stories to follow.
1.) Hasbio created Fluffies to cash in on MLP. Hence for the most part everything is “20 minutes into the future”. Cell phones, streaming, electric cars, solar panels, etc. It’s literally our world with a half step to the side. Fluffies got released nto the wild before they were perfected by extremist PETA college students.
2.) Medical research has been making strides due to fluffy Ponies. Using confiscated tech and breakthroughs from Hasbio’s failed patent attempts, there is research ongoing using fluffies as test subjects.

it’s been a couple of years since Cleveland and in that time no one really learned anything. Ferals exploded across the country again, people till abuse and hugbox etc. The only real change is that it was added to the government budget to hand out block grants to cities willing to run fluffy rescue shelters or extermination services.

Breeding is more lucrative than ever. With the breeding pool having been significantly culled by the Cleveland disaster supply went way down while demand reimained pretty high Seeing how well pedigreed, well behaved fluffies can be a boon of a pet, people are willing to shell out hundreds if not thousands for a well colored show fluffy.

Fluffy subspecies exist, but I have little to no interest in them at this time. I may reference them or have them make cameos but for now we’re just sticking to the original species and it’s 4 original subtypes.
6.) Cybernetic prostheses are no longer cutting edge tech. In fact it was the results of rule 2 that allowed it to happen. Trying to figure out how to “un-pillow” fluffies or to aid ones who suffered amputation allowed humans to create little plastic and metal legs for the critters with nueral control links from tech left over from the “Fuzzie Ponies” fiasco. Research into making human size prostheses work with the nueral link is ongoing but showing promise. After the files were dumped on the web basically every yahoo with a solder gun and a circuit tester is racing to solve things like Parkinsons, Bells Palsy, and build cyborgs.
7.) Fluffies are “broken by all” as foals and youths. As adults they’ll survive based on an extreme sliding scale. A fluffy suffering abuse may take days or weeks to expire but under different circumstances a fluffy might cave in like a deflated ball if they nosedive from anything higher than a kitchen counter. “Fluffy pony drowns” is in effect, they are retarded to the point of unintentional suicide, and the only exceptions are clad head to toe in plot armor.
-7a.) Foals must feed within minutes of birth and need feeding every couple hours for the first week.
-7b.) Dancie babbeh trope is either a sign of overwhelming joy, hunger, or a symptom of extreme abandonment distress. A dancie babbeh is starving. Chirping foals will go into a seizure like state when “dancing” unless picked up or fed. Walking talking foals will use dancing to garner attention. Adults will do it along with gleeful chirps when extremely excited or overjoyed.
8.)There is no laws against abusing fluffies. It is simply found to be distasteful in greater society. As such, the US 4th amendment to the Constitution is in effect, since Fluffies are “bio-toys” and there fore exist as property and not animals. (For my international readers, the fourth amendment is a protection against unlawful search and seizure. Expanded upon, its essentially “You can do whatever you want with the stuff you own so long as you’re not hurting anyone or the property itself is not illegal.” So…wanna shove stuff up your ass in the privacy of your own home? Knock yourself out. Want to torture and destroy your biotoy property in your garage? Just keep it down cause your neighbors might call the cops on you for making too much noise.
- Fluffies are very much individual. The headcanon applied to personality is simple: Domestics will take on personality encouraged by the owner, feral will likely build their own due to stimulus experience. Smarties are hellgremlins with very very rare exception and can come in both male and female. Smarty foals are typically just as bad, only smaller. Mummas can develop “bitch mare” attitudes, and barren mares can develop habits like foal stealing and violent jealousy. Domestics are usually horribly naive and optimistic of the world.
10)Alicorn hate is in effect and it typically takes human intervention or an outside factor to prevent alicorn trampling. Poopie babbeh abuse in in effect. Fluffsplosion of mares is in effect. In fact alot of the old school tropes and memes are in effect.
