D’arc Corporations “We have you.”
The D’arc Corporations is a well know software and hardware development company that started branching off into robotic engineering, AI design, and Genetic Studies.
They planned to announce their magnum opus a new robotic assistant but with the mass escape of the fluffies the company decided not to release an AI driven home assistant. Later they once again tried to unveil their mechanical wonder but on the day of the reveal party Cleveland sank. The project has been shelved for now.
The company having lost a large amount of funds and credibility now is branching out further into Food, television, casinos, toys, Deep Space Travel, and now fluffies namely cleaning up ferals from the wild to boost image and get back at hasbio.
Technology
Smart phones, 3d printers, and the like are still around but more high end gadgets such as holo assistants an implant that allows the user to take and make calls audio or video as well as browse the web. Wonder eggs, an artificial womb designed for families unable to conceive normally. Artificial limbs and organs and cloning vats for replacing lost extremities.
Fluffies
Fluffies have fucked up the world to almost ecological collapse. thankfully over the years feral numbers have dropped but not enough.
Fluffies act like fluffies I’m not changing that, but they have become a bit more sturdy and smarter in the wild, but not incredibly so.
Types of fluffies encountered will only be, if not shown it’s not in my world.
The typical ones earthy, unicorn, pegasus, and alicorns
Smarty, both the sociopath and the true leader version exists. In early stages the bad smarty can be trained into a good, well goodish smarty or just plain beaten out.
Fluffalo, with the damage to grass lands and clean water the cattle industry took a dive. Fluffalo help fill the need of dairy and meat.
Micro fluffies, more toy like and less cockroach that pisses and shits in freakish amounts. Feral mirco fluffs are unheard of but not impossible. Store bought ones are chemically neutered before hitting the shelves to keep infestations from happening.
Puf fluffs, I would like to use them in stories but I need to ask @Mikahorsie first
Sea fluffies, an urban legend but they do exist, no one knows who breed them first.
Magic and supernatural shit
It exists, there are witches and other magic users out there. Well there are no magic schools or that shit but shops that sell ingredients and familiars are available. A witch is only as strong as their familiar.
Cryptids have always existed before fluffies but are becoming more noticable as they now attack fluffs and humans alike in the wilds. It’s rumored they are trying to purify the planet.
And second type of cryptid called UMAs act as a supernatural protection of sorts. Useable by non magical and magical humans alike. They feed on the wild cryptids and dead or rotten organics.
The Fluffy area of influence
The US is the most devastated by the fluffies.
Canada has a great rapport with it’s fluffy population where they thrive and surprising not ruin the ecosystem, Americans just suck that much I guess.
Central and south americas, the Mexican government did what america could not, built a small 3 foot tall wall with small gaps in areas to allow local wildlife to pass through but not fluffies. There are fluffy owners in Mexico but not many. South American countries have fluffalo exclusively as a cheap alternative to cattle.
Russia has fluffies and fluffalo but not in large amounts. Ferals cannot handle the harsh climate.
Japan has micro fluffy gatcha despencers and foal in and egg machines. Adult fluffies are pillowed instantly and foals and micros are neutered at birth to avoid feral issues.
All other countries have banned fluffies for ecological protection. Fuffy owning, breeding, selling, and or trafficking in these countries is a massive felony
