Imagine they encounter the Hagfish which is a carrion feeder that as a defense mechanism, it produces a large amount of slimy mucus which can suffocate predators gills…to a sea fluffy thry might be like a spaghetti noodle that makes suffocating slime.

Another terrifying creature of the depths is a Cuttlefish, (some species are venomous) with 2 protectile tentacles and is the fastest camouflage creature in the world. In addition they can create a hypnotic dazzling display to mesmerize their prey before launching their tentacles and then pull them in to devour

Or a Sea anemone with a clownfish…sea anemone have a venomous sting and can and do eat fish. The reason why clownfish are safe is cuz they got a coating that protects them from the sting. Its a symbiotic relationship…Clownfish protect the anemone from anemone-eating fish and also provide it with food scraps and waste whereas the anemone provides the clownfish shelter and protection from predators.

A sea fluffy or foal would not want to find Nemo or theyll find their demise too.

Or better yet a cookiecutter shark. They’re like lamprey sharks but they carve a circular hole in large prey like a cookie cutter cutting a shape in a dough. They do this without killing their prey but in theory a baby cookiecutter could do that easily because of their smaller size but a bigger one makes more noticeable damage to a sea fluffy and ofc they will bleed out or get infected.
