Actually multiple elements are based on elements in real life. The new space suit is based on a real space suit NASA revealed two years ago for the future Artemis missions, and the flashback of the fluffy falling down is a reference to astronaut Harrison Schmitt stumbling and falling during the Apollo 17 mission.
