It’s that fluffies are usually considered as pests in their universe (like stray cats and rats), spreading diseases and bringing trouble to nature and cities, thus people tend to have less affection for them (though it depends on the person). It’s also a deconstruction of saccharine girly stuff (My Little Pony, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, Barbie, Polly Pocket, Bratz, etc) with cute aggression.
