I think the Doc should stick to just a bunch of bandages in some lighter cases. A bruise doesn’t seem that bad!
A bruise wouldn’t be surgery-levels bad, but as the “broken-bones” tag implies the injury’s a little bit worse than that.
Also I don’t see why you can’t surgically remove a bruise. It fixes the problem, no?
