You have finally decided to buy a fluffy, you had been on the fence about getting one for the longest of time before finally giving in to all of the hype. So you clean out the old storage room and put up some cheap, colorful wallpaper that didn’t hurt your eyes, but was appropriately bright enough according to the guide he had read. The forest green color was actually quite nice compared to the dark wood floors that would soon be covered by the special carpet squares that will protect your new fluff to be hooves. “Hmm…” you mutter softly to yourself as you move to the living room and plop onto the couch pulling up Hasbio’s website and scrolling to find the online guide to fluffy care to see what other items you may need.
Hours later and a bit of money down the drain a box of fluffy supplies will be delivered tomorrow for you to set up for your future fluffy. “Expensive ass little things but most pets tend to be.” Feeling bored you head out to get a quick bite to eat from the local pizza place. As you are walking there you hear the loud screams of a feral getting treated as the pest they are, the high pitched screams lead you to the alleyway beside the pizza place where a tired, teen employee was kicking a cream colored mare with a dark red mane who kept screeching about being a “soon mummah.” She must have been a runaway pet.
The abuse didn’t bother you and you nod to the teen who looks the tiniest bit more relaxed now that his frustration was vented on the mare. The teen waves as they head back inside and you crouch down to look at the mare as she was forced to miscarry the foals as her body spasms in pain. The amount of blood she’s losing in her miscarriage may kill the mare before her injuries do, one by one foals pop out dead, surprisingly the foals were fully developed but the mare was too weak to clean or encourage the babies to feed. One of these foals caught your eye, the horn was weird and the tail was fairly long.
Giving into the impulse you move the foal to the mothers teat so that it won’t die immediately as you head into the pizza shop to place the order and ask for a box to put the foal in. The teen looks excited at the idea of foals, probably wanting to hurt them as well. You were given two boxes both lined with paper towels and the offer of a free pizza if you bring them the foals as well. You agree quickly, not turning down a free meal and head back into the alley where the foals now slept full from their dead mothers milk. You scoop all the foals into one box except for your chosen one and hum as you trade the foals for the large pizza.
Humming you rest the foal box on the pizza to stay warm as you call your local fluff mart to see if a nurse fluff or an artificial teat you could use to keep the little one alive. You use the fluffdash app to order a nurse mare with a shy temperament due to the fact the foal is a newborn. You bit the bullet and paid extra to have the mare rushed to your home quickly.
Once inside you set the pizza box on the table and take the foal box to the sink, after a quick FluffTube tutorial you grab a soft rag and a bowl. “Alright time to clean up.” Oh so gently and carefully you clean the foal in lukewarm water and a dot of dish soap, once cleaned the foal shares the same creamy coat color as the mare as well as a gradient accents on the hooves, snout, and ears. A closer look at the mark on the foals flank and you can see a dark purple blob, perhaps a cutie mark or maybe a birthmark as for the unique horn there is a slight bump at the base of the other horn. “Two horns?” The genetics of the parents must have clashed to some extent but all in all you find the foal cute and give him a name based on the blob of color on the flank. “Onyx.”
