If my own experience is anything to go by, he’ll try it, enjoy it, insist on eating it every night for weeks and then randomly go back to insisting that he hated it all along.

What we did with ours was simple; don’t give them a choice and they eat the same food as we do, just smaller portions or not as spicy.
They don’t eat what’s in front of them, they just go hungry and the uneaten food gets reheated and re-served to them for their next meal.
An important part of this, is to not let them snack in between meals if they’ve refused to eat the food. If they whine, then tell them they had their chance to eat, they’ll have to wait until the next meal when everybody eats.
For weaning foals, it’s even easier - many authors seem to forget that babies wean because milk is no longer enough to meet their calorific needs, so they need to go onto solids which gives them more calories.
Fairy’s quickly going to learn to start eating solids when his mummah can’t produce enough milk to stop him feeling hungry (not to mention her milk production will start drying up). If he doesn’t because he’s being especially fucking stupid for a fluffy, then he starves.
In the event that he starts throwing tantrums or abusing his mummah due to being especially stubborn, then discipline time - the combination of that combined with hunger and thirst will fix his attitude quickly.
If even that doesn’t work, then Fairy’s not a living thing with a sense of self preservation, he’s a broken biotoy product that needs deactivation and recycling.

Nah he’ll eventually eat solid foods.
His brother likes other foods and when he’s not allowed to eat fairy will eventually eat it.

I meant Fairy will eat once he sees his brother Taco enjoying his meal. Kind of a “I want what he has” kind of thing.
