If for whatever reason you need a foal paralysed from the “waist” down simply give the little guy a hard pinch of their spine behind their shoulders until you hear a crack, this should cause the desired effect

Easier to control the exact amount of force witha a pinch, as well as the exact area. Plus, with a pinch, you can FEEL those little bones break.
