That’s a very interesting idea. Maybe there can be both for SBS, because we’ve seen that not all cases of SBS are the same. Some have their eyes close and chirp and crawl or don’t even move, other can move and open their eyes but need a walker, while others can walk on their own eat kibble, and some can even grown a semi mane walk, talk and live a “normal” fluffy life.
Maybe some have the rainbow filter while others have a bleak/scary filter. That’s what makes them so fun and interesting.
That’s a very good point actually, I find that the best comparison for SBS is autistic spectrum disorder, so it would make perfect sense actually for SBS fluffies to have just as wide of a spectrum, from simply lacking verbal filters and having intense social anxiety all the way up to being utterly incapable of surviving on their own in any context.
I just imagine on how Smarty and Intelligent fluffies would view them.
I like to imagine that if the SBS foal/fluffy in part of their biological family like sibling, aunt, cousin etc. they would love and protect them like any other fluffy would, but if the SBS foal has no blood relationship to them they will view them as a burden. But if the Smarty and Intelligent fluffy is a domestic they would be fine as they understand that their Human is taking care of them.
A hyper protective smarty older brother and an SBS younger sibling would be such a sweet hugbox story.
I know it’s so cute. I also like to imagine that good smarty’s and intelligent fluffy do not have alicornphobia.
But normal fluffies and bad smarty’s do. Also I like to imagine there are two forms of smarty syndrome a good side and bad side. The good side is the one we were talking about and the bad one is an egotistical psychopath aka the bad one.
I think all fluffies with smarty syndrome have psychopathy to a degree but just like real people with psychopathy they are still capable of love and caring for others, although the ways they express it may be unconventional.
I imagine the smarty taking a beating for his younger sibling by claiming that he was the one who pooped on the floor, but when he gets out of the sorry box he’ll still give a few sorry hoofies to his sensitive sibling, but only a few and not very hard.

Imagine a SBS foal/fluffy who is aware they can get away with how they act? That would be so evil.
And they purposely makes messes for their parents, siblings and owner to clean. Or they purposely throw up just to get better milk like Spaghetti flavored milk etc.

Thank you. But still it’s an interesting idea, a sbs fluffy who can get away with their evil behavior and blame it on others. But because they have the mindset of a chirpy foal or colt/filly. They can only get away with it for so long until they are discovered.
Also it will be awkward and funny when the fluffy is the only fluffy in the house so there is no one to blame it on.
