That sounds good enough in theory, but even Hostinger isn’t ideal. Hostinger’s Terms of Service give them the discretion to remove or suspend content they deem offensive, illegal, gross, vulgar, or malicious. This means if content is unusually extreme (even if not specifically listed), they can act on it.
That’s pretty much the case with any host. You’re always at the whims, because ultimately they don’t want bad publicity, and specifically tags like foal-rape will raise eyebrows no matter where you host it. Look no further than lolicon, a tag that used to be found pretty much on any Booru, is now often banned as well just because of the implications. The excuse “it’s just a drawing” won’t dissuade a host from removing you.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that statement, or how it factors in your question, but I don’t think you’re being an ingrate. The site is pretty much just funded by me, I get occasional donations but most funding has dried up because donation pages get shut down and reported, even ones I’ve set up anonymously before.
Fwiw, this was all I found about content rules on Hostinger (from their site FAQ):
“You can host adult-oriented websites at Hostinger, taking the following into consideration:
All hosted materials must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including intellectual property rights.
You are not allowed to host content of illegal nature or that promotes or encourages any illegal activity.
You are not allowed to host content that promotes, encourages or engages in child pornography or the exploitation of children.”
Which seems easy enough to abide by, given that Marakasaya isn’t here anymore, but of course the content is at the host’s discretion, always.
I didn’t want to seem like an ingrate because I know this site is probably not the easiest thing to keep up. I know you pay for it out of pocket. And to me, having a place to draw and view the content that has kept me sane for most of my adult life is priceless, no matter where it is hosted.
Also, if you ever need help moving the site, storing or organizing archives, or financial help keeping the site viable, please do not hesitate to let me know. I would be very happy to help in any way that I can.
