Regulars can't edit anymore?

I have been inactive for a little while, so I may have missed some changes and threads discussing them, but I just realised that, while being a regular, I can’t edit titles or tags on others’ posts. So that raises a question, do regulars no longer have the ability to do that?

If it is indeed so, it’s not an end-of-the-world change, it’s just a bit inconvenient to have the ability to help in some way taken away. But I would still like to get an explanation if possible.

the real question is why the fuck was an option to begin whit

Yeah, it was taken away because people shouldn’t have had it in the first place. Then there was an editor group, got removed too.

Huh, I see. I wonder if something happened to prompt the change. I remember asking Vergil if they were fine with it a while ago, and the answer was yes at the time. Is there a thread where it was discussed?

I think so, it was a while ago.

At some point we will have a group of trusted editors to keep titles and tags up to par. But for now, we’ve had to do away with that ability. It was a source of griping.

What?

Look at your “Trust Level” on your profile, you, me, owl, and a few others are “Leaders”. No clue what the reason is behind it, possibly just a placeholder.

Its not that anything bad happened, its the fact something bad could happen.

I get this approach. I raised the exact same concern a long time ago.

I guess the reason I’m a bit upset I that I felt a bit of pride in being able to change something, to contribute at least somewhat. But now I’m back to the same old useless me, so of course I don’t like it.

And congrats on becoming a leader.
