I have been inactive for a little while, so I may have missed some changes and threads discussing them, but I just realised that, while being a regular, I can’t edit titles or tags on others’ posts. So that raises a question, do regulars no longer have the ability to do that?
If it is indeed so, it’s not an end-of-the-world change, it’s just a bit inconvenient to have the ability to help in some way taken away. But I would still like to get an explanation if possible.
Huh, I see. I wonder if something happened to prompt the change. I remember asking Vergil if they were fine with it a while ago, and the answer was yes at the time. Is there a thread where it was discussed?
At some point we will have a group of trusted editors to keep titles and tags up to par. But for now, we’ve had to do away with that ability. It was a source of griping.
Look at your “Trust Level” on your profile, you, me, owl, and a few others are “Leaders”. No clue what the reason is behind it, possibly just a placeholder.
I get this approach. I raised the exact same concern a long time ago.
I guess the reason I’m a bit upset I that I felt a bit of pride in being able to change something, to contribute at least somewhat. But now I’m back to the same old useless me, so of course I don’t like it.
