“You said this person was an actual… Sorcerer?”
[A quote from Talon Commander Luray. Him and a detachment of Talon knights sent to put down a riot in the settlement of BabbaDook, the castle commander saying it all started because of this strange man]

After the wash we completely left, me not wanting to stay anywhere close to the settlement in case they searched for me. As we started getting on the road David came to me with a map, sounding and looking a bit off.
“Hey Aurucul, do you know where were heading to.”
I looked at the map beforehoove, and did. But still I let David talk.
“The next stop is HitchVin…”
After a moment of silence I speak, me knowing this was a place I thought I’d never return to.
“We am goin’ into dewe, aww dah way fwooh.”
Saul was about to intercede, him hearing the conversation. But I speak first, giving a sigh.
“Whewe not goin’ to find an awtewnate woute ow tuwn awound. Wewe entewin’ an’ I’ww pweach dah powah of dah one, fuww confidence.”
“What happened in Hitchbin?”
I turn to see it was Muddy who asked me this, the others looking curious about this thing they didn’t know. I processed then to tell them everything about my past.

At night we set up camp, us about halfway there. And instantly there was a problem that needed to be addressed, you don’t just expect to take in over a dozen people and not have supply issues. David and Saul had only gotten enough food to last about 2-3 weeks for the 4 of us, but now? We’d be lucky to last 2 days… I knew had to do something so asking the others to give me all the food, it is all placed in one area. They all gather in a circle and watch me raise the Scythe, speaking a prayer.
“Dah One, we bewiebews ask ‘ou to bwess these pwobisions an’ muwtipwy them. Su that we may continue to spwead fowff youw gwowy!”
For the first few seconds nothing happened, just silence. Than like nothing most of these people had ever seen, an energy came out of the Scythe and entered the food. Multiplying it to the amount where everyone could be fed adequately. And after that I spent the remainder of the night teaching, giving our new believers knowledge.

In the morning we packed back up and continued, the sky bright blue with us in a mild forest. As we did walk Saul came up to me, speaking like he had something on his mind.
“When you begin preaching Aurucul, Saul thinks it wise that we be with you. We can’t have something like yesterday happen again, not ever.”
I nod slightly and speak.
“It wasn’t aww bad fwend. In it we hab gotten muwtipwe fowwowews, Auwucuw showed dah powah of dah one. I wish to speak to some of ‘ou once we get to dah gate of dah city, fwuffy nee’ to say somethin’.”
Saul nods and we continue. And in that moment I go to the back and begin educating the others, it vital for the idea I had.

“An’ su once his wowk was considewed finished, Phiwipwin came into heaben stiww wibing, him nebah actuawwy dyin’ on his pwain. That’s why dewe’s nu tomb to Phiwipwin.”
Muddy responds, after a few hours it seemed he was finally wrapping his head around the things I was teaching him.
“Wow…”
Wit speaks, him listening in on our conversation.
“Are you going to go up like him? Seems like quite the sight, heh…”
I speak.
“Dah One wiww webeaw his pwans fo’ fwuffy when dey come. An’ besides Auwucuw stiww had mountains of wowk to do, am goin’ to be doin’ dis fo’ decades pwobabwy.”
We continued on and as the hours waned I could see it in the distance. Across the landscape was the silhouette of HitchVin, the wall that surrounded the city double the height of BabbaDook (I could only imagine what inner Chicago’s looked liked…) I go up front and speak to everyone.
“stahp! Auwucuw wishes to speak wiff a few fo’ a moment, pwibatewy.”
With that I select who I wanted to talk to.

David, Saul, Samuel, Muddy and Wit had all joined me a hounded hooves outside of the main group, them looking confused and curious. We all sit and I speak, a small fire in the center.
“As aww of ‘ou know by nao dah wast’ time Auwucuw pweached, it nu did go as fwuffy thought. Caused a wiot, got wanded in pwison, caused aww wot of bad feewings… Auwucuw takes wesponsibiwity in dis, fwuffy was to iwwesponsibwe.”
I continued.
“Su today Auwucuw bwings 'ou to fowm a band, a gwoup. 'ou wiww ones cwosest to me , neaw fwuffy at awmost aww times. Dah fiwst seen in dah eyes of dah one. scwibes to new Sawnaianism.”
They all looked at me with mixed reactions. David and Saul looked honored, Samuel looked as though he was about to cry, Muddy looked respected, and Wit mixed. Saul speaks.
“Have you told Evalyn about this, about this band?”
I speak.
“Auwucuw offewed hew a pwace in it, actuawwy speakin’ to hew fiwst. She decwined dah pwoposition, wishin’ to take cawe of dah widah gwoup of bewiebews an’ soon ouw babbeh. Dewe am nu wowds auwucuw couwd use to honow hew debotion…”
Wit speaks.

“This “Scribe” thing, you want us to start writing things down or something?”
I speak, getting straight to the point.
“Yes, Auwucuw wants at weast a few of ‘ou to wwite. Wwite down my wife an’ ebewythin’ fwuffy do, gib diffewent accounts an’ pewspectibes, it wiww be pibotaw fo’ dah second scwoww. An’ fo’ dah waws of dah New Pwomise, Auwucuw wiww wwite it as it am towd to fwuffy by Dah One.”
With that I raise my Scythe and signal to everyone to come over. Once by one they go and touch it, giving an oath. Once all had finished I spoke, us now walking back.
“Wet’s feast my bwothews, an’ may ouw days be bwessed.” Fin
