If you are asking how you can join the LGBTQ group, you just need to click the menu open (from the button with three lines), the click “groups”, then scroll down until you find the “LGBTQ+” group, and then you click “join”.
If I was already a member of the group before the changes came in, will this affect me in any way?

I don’t know. But you can always go and check if you are still in the group.
