Alright folks,
Last week I asked you to vote whether to make the LGBT group opt-in or opt-out
You gave me a pretty overwhelming response.
I’ve listened to a number of people tell me their opinions on both sides
I’ve talked this issue over with a number of people whose opinions I deeply respect
And the only honorable thing to do is to make the changes that were promised.
Tonight nearly all of you will find that you are now in the group @LGBT

But I warn you that you are going to be missing out on some really incredible stories.
A caveat:
I am not able to set up a group that automatically accepts every newcomer as a member,
so the Quick Start Guide will not be changing at all.
This change only affects current members of the site.
But at least now, the group should not seem like such a Walled Garden
People who I am familiar with, and whom I already know do not want to see this content were removed from this list preemptively.
If you happened to get a notification at some point regarding this change, I apologize. I briefly broke the website and had to make changes to how I was…well…to how I was making these changes
and I apologize for the errors.
Since I have never needed to add 3000+ users to a single group in a large batch, some mistakes were made.
At this point I am now willing to take your questions and comments.

I don’t care about their race skin color or sexual orientation or anything else.
One could say that I’m the reason that you weren’t on the add-list.
But slightly closer to the truth is that you are the reason you weren’t on the add-list.
