I know this product is just fly paper with a foal on it but I hadn’t see it being used as a lure before.
Plus people buy all manner of dumb stuff for the convience anyway.
The fun part is letting her starve
she can eat the foal, before die for starving
This is what I was thinking, but it’s actually potentially much worse.
At best, she ends up eating the foal for a cannibalism meal and feels horrible about it as she delays her starvation.
At worst, she tries too hard to pick around the foal and eat “jus’ da weggies” or something as a compromise and gets her face stuck and either starts suffocating or tears off part of her own muzzle.
I always love the different trap ideas people have. Think i remember one from a while back that was an enfie toy with a similar glue trap inside. Any similar traps to this I think typically use a voice recorder but honestly using a bad color foal is a lot smarter. Its probably a lot cheaper and better for the environment.
Now just rig it to explode when she pulls it and you’ve got yourself a night!
Now this is a much more practical use for foals. Foal-in-a-can machines just don’t seem practical in comparison.
Might want to use a different colored babbeh tho.
“Nu cwy babbeh fwuffie hewe nu be saddi…”
“oh…”
180turn and away i go
Good
I love how pathetic the foal looks
Simple but effective…
Old man Joe: give me twenty…
To be fair, glue traps are really strong stuff and good at grabbing rats. Baiting it this way is creative and a good idea.
@FreshlyPillowed - Agreed, but if the mare is that desperate enough to have/want babies she may not care about color too much.
Que all the stallions with the foal/paper stuck to their stomache / junk.
Especially if they come trying to eat the foal - live bait traps.
You could even secure the foal inside a larger cage trap which is inside a cardboard box, so the traps are re-usable for catching fluffies.
also catches smarties looking for foals to enf
It is rather sweet that her first instinct is not “I have to get away” but “I need to hug this baby and make them feel better”.
…Honestly I feel for these ones. I hate glue traps. Seen some wild animals caught in them.
Think its easier to just leave skettis over a screaming annoying foal.
Huh. I wrote about something like this for a cage trap set out by Atlanta cops once in a a story that I’m writing. I used a crochet fluffy chirpy plush and a 30-second soundbox, though.
Hmmm idk seems like you’d end up with a lot of filthy ferals with dead foals stuck to their cocks and sticky paper all over their bellies giving them away. Maybe they’d eventually die of sepsis that way. Seems like more trouble than just digging a hole for them to fall into.
