Finally watched this Papa Meat video about reborn dolls and realized that the people who are completely obsessed with these to the point of having the ones that breathe and shit would absolutely want an SBS or forever chirpy.
And then the reborns that look like SBS fluffies would take off and the bidding wars on eBay would be insane. Just imagine the Temu knock-offs.

Some of them are in a perpetual screaming state for some odd reason too. Wonder how that would correlate with SBS ownership? I wonder if it’s for realism solely or aesthetics (like how some consider crying to be aesthetically cool..?). Also it seems like a terrible idea if they use an SBS to help with grieving. Imagine the fluffy then dies as well. Would be interested to see it become a trend online and then suddenly it turns into a disaster when all the fluffies succumb to stupid things
I absolutely know that there would be some people that would roll an sbs or chirpy around in a stroller. Some already do it with cats and dogs, so an infantile horse thing would be right up their alley.
I absolutely wouldn’t recommend the SBS for anyone using one of those dolls to grieve, given their great skill at dying in stupid ways. What a nightmare lol

That’s a fair connection imo. I have a cousin who… uh… had some horrible stuff happen to her a few years back. Long and short of it, due to her mental trauma, she’s obsessed with wanting a baby, but due to the aftermath of the physical trauma, she’s never gonna be able to have one, so my aunt spent a decent amount of money on a realistic baby doll like one of those in MCs video, and my cousin takes care of it almost like a real baby, minus changing diapers bc obviously.
Like, she’s been confronted for “being delusional” by other less understanding family and friends, but she’s said herself that she knows its not a real baby, but she’s never going to have one herself so what’s the harm in pretending with a doll? She knows the doll cant speak or eat or drink milk or respond in any way, but she likes feeling the weight in her arms as she cosleeps with her “baby” and it makes her feel better.
Not condoning or condemning people in those situations or mindsets, but I could definitely see something there with SBS foals and Forever Foals.

Hasbio would absolutely get in on this with reborn chirpies for mares who lost litters and owners with enough cash to shell out for a very realistic doll with noises, warmth, and a digestive system. Probably more expensive than just adopting a foal but logic shmogic.
There’s people who poorly modify theirs too; I saw one post on the RebornDollCringe subreddit of a reborn which had its eyes gouged out and replaced with poorer quality ones by the owner. No doubt people would do the same with SBS. lol
My ex collected these. Spent good money on them too. He was a bit…odd
Oof, I feel this more than you know. Tell your cousin she’s a rock star, and if she’s ok with it, hug her for me. Honestly, my cats are the kids I could never have.
Honestly for the people who want something heavily dependent on them to take care of but don’t actually want kids SBS fluffies sound perfect for them.
