That’s my family’s old cat. She was terrified of the vacuum cleaner…until she became deaf at 15. Afterwards she would sleep on top of the running vacuum cleaner, because it was warm.

No. She died in late 2008 when she had a stroke at 19½ years old & had to be humanely euthanized. Two years later my parents took in a 2-year-old male rescue cat. He’s still with them now. Minus some things as he’s been somewhat recklessly accident-prone (half his tail had to be amputated; lost one claw & broke one of his fangs). That 17-year-old eunuch still sleeps on the carpet sprawled out like a ragdoll.
