I don’t know why people think this is more humane than just chopping the nuts off of livestock, but some really do it this way. Maybe it avoids infection? Still, hearing Fluffies complain about it happening is a riot.

ehh, it’s not really about humaneness banned in lithuania on its humaneness , its more its cheap to do and fairly simple, don’t need to sedate the animal for it like you do with other techniques and you reduce the risk of infection as it is “bloodless” and you don’t really need to clean your instruments as carefully
