I decided to split the ‘normal’ fluffies into standards and minis. ‘Normals’ can be found on either end of the spectrum or anywhere between. This is because I suck at staying consistent with how big I picture them lmao.
XXL’s are an invention of @PonePone unless the creator of this had an unfortunate same-name scheme. If they’re by Pone, they seem to be an almost exclusive human creation. They don’t want for another but for the company of humans.
My fluffy OC Sonata would be one of those I think! I had her be an unusually small fluffy, but not a micro. She gets carried around in a purse or hoodie pouch pocket, and thinks she’s still a baby even though she’s not.
I love the idea of fluffies having more than the two sizes we normally see.
PonePone were discussing his setting and in terms of biotech, it’s pretty high tech cyperpunk style stuff, to the point that a standard fluffy alicorn in good colours may be a few thousand dollars, a XXL alicorn in the same colours is only about 150 dollars.
This is despite the level of customisation that can be done to an XXL, as making a pure white XXL alicorn with a rainbow mane almost as straightforward as a custom made burger at a fast food joint, whereas the same in a fluffy involves crossing your fingers and praying to Gregor Mendel.
the rarity of xxl fluffies is fun to think about. i imagine if dogs on the larger size typically have a shorter lifespan due to having a myriad of health problems, imagine how much worse it must be for the less hardy fluffy. iirc RQ did a piece where fluffies made large enough to be ridden on by children with regular injections were completely crippled by, like, their second year their joints were completely trashed.
