i read that a cat will eventually realize that kisses are how you show affection! idk if it’s true, but i know my cat will bow his head at me–the spot he always gets kisses–when he wants to cuddle~

Based on experience its only if they get it from a young age or equate it with head rubs. A cat that used to nail people in the face or act like she was being bit was fine with it after she got used to chin and cheek rubs on the head. Its an extension of “Human doing thing that I do”.
